I made a little mini quilt for April, and just now finished the binding. It all started with four 1/2 square triangles, and it snowballed from there. I then made four quarter square triangle blocks, and set them together like this. Lots of other people are making mini quilts too, encouraged by Wendy, the Constant quilter. Please see her blog, here.

I found an Easter basket on clearance at the grocery store, of all places...who shops anywhere else these days! It is perfect for these pastel scraps. Hurrah!!!
*********************Nurse's Notes*******************************
The natives are restless, that is all I can say. We have to wear masks all day from the time we walk into the hospital, and most of us have rashes and skin problems from the chafing. Our hospital had had some deaths, and about 30 positive covid patients at any one time. A nearby hospital has had a sudden spike of patients, which makes everyone worry. Just ready to be done with this virus, already.

Hugs to all from Julie

What a unique little quilt! It is very pretty, and you did a great job on it. Do be careful out there! We all want to keep seeing your pretty quilts! ---"Love"
That's such a sweet little mini quilt - glad to see you're joining the ranks of the mini-makers!
Such a lovely spring mini quilt! So glad you had time for a little quilting. The basket is a great find!
My sister has started only working every other day to give her face a chance to heal from the mask bruising and irritation... it's just terrible how the nurses are suffering. I hope you are doing okay my friend!
What a sensational little quilt to remind us that it is Spring! So happy that you have joined us in this mini madness! I am so sorry for all you are enduring. I cherish all of you healthcare workers. WE all hope this ends soon, but those of you on the front lines are miracle workers and I thank you!
What a cute little mini and basket. In Amerika Samoa you will find all kinds of things in their grocery stores even fabric.
Your job is a scary one at this time. I live in Australiaw where the virus numbers Are not as high as in America but still scare me. You and your fellow workers Julie, all the doctors and nurses orderleys do such a selfless job in our communities. I praise you all. It's good that you still find time to do some sewing, I feel it is my happy placetoom Take care dear lady. 💝
Such a lovely finish! Your mini is calming and classic.
I can only imagine how that mask feels at this point. Your hospital has been hit harder than ours. We are up to 7 now with 2 in the ICU which is a high point. Hard to think of the country opening up when the numbers are still climbing. I'm still praying for you and your co-workers each day.
Sweet little mini.andthxfor sending me to the Constant Quilters blog. Lovely stuff there. All of the Coronavirus news is so conflicting,so much we don’t know. I think that everyone is weary, andI can only imagine being in your position. Prayers and stay safe.
I hate to wear my masks for even a short time. I can't imaging wearing one all day long. One of our (mask making) ladies made some headbands for the elastic masks. Those are going to nurses (as are most of the masks we are making).
Beautiful little quilt and I know creating helps me to keep my calm through all of this.
I cannot imagine what you have to go through each day, my prayers are with you and all who are out there, helping others.
Debbie
Happy nurses day! We appreciate you!
