Slow stitching. Funny how I feel a bit guilty about sitting still and just deep breathing and stitching...so I decided not to feel that way! This little quilt along is via Facebook.
The mixture of embroidery and tiny 4 inch log cabin blocks is what I am working on today.
What you are stitching on today?

That looks really sweet, Julie.
I love how those look together..such an adorable quilt...nice work;))) Julierose
It’s adorable, especially with the whale in the corner.
I love this quilt. My first quilt was a queen-sized log cabin in the same colors. Those log cabin blocks are very tiny. Wow. I have a variation that I am planning on making that has larger blocks, but one inch wide logs. I am a little wary of it.
Great quilt. Enjoy the respite. ;^)
Goodness me, never feel guilty while you are sitting and stitching! You are being calm and creative.
Sitting still and being calm, deep breathing while you hand stitch is a most excellent thing in these troubled times....don't feel guilty. Your little quilt is pretty.
Oooh, I love that little whale! Recharging your batteries is essential for good mental health. Breathe away!
Don't you just love playing with log cabin blocks? That one is a real cutie! ---"Love"
Quiet stitching is good for the soul! It is so good that you make time for it.
This quilt looks like so much fun! I love the whale especially. Those embroidered blocks are going to be sweet. I'll enjoy seeing your progress with this.
Darling quilt with the whale, Julie! We are moving to a new electronic health record this week--in the middle of a pandemic while all of us are working at home alone. It is very stressful and I am finding myself in panic and near tears at times. Deep breaths are definitely happening over that, and the awful unrest and horrible scenes on the news. A very unsettling time.
I just love this design and the whale is adorable
I thought about making the summer log cabin small quilt that you are working on but it is going to have to wait. It is such a cute and creative design.
Cute little project there! I'm not stitching at this time, waiting for elective surgery to open up again so i can have a new hip put in.
I am glad you decided not to feel guilty. We all need down time--especially in high stress situations, and as a nurse you are definitely dealing with higher stress levels than most of us.
You had me at whale - yes no guilt...just breathing and stitching sounds good to me.
Absolutely no guilt with relaxation and hand stitching... it's essential service for all humans :) Love the new project!
Too precious, Julie! That whale really gives those log cabin blocks some major personality!
