A sigh of relief, and renewal of fun!!

I have begun Bonnie Hunter's "Garden Party" quilt!  These blocks are just great fun to piece!
Another view...

I have let myself get guilted into and bogged down on working on some things that I really have no interest in finishing...today?  I let that go!  I started this quilt, which I have had kitted up forever, and let 'er rip!!  It was such fun...

I am playing in my scraps and absolutely loving it!!!!  Life is pretty short...let's have fun while we are here!  Scraps are the most fun to me!

Guess that's why I have so many UFO's as well..just get tired of working on them. Sometimes, they actually draw me back, other times not so much. You were working along with the gals in AZ doing that huh? Looking good!

Good for you! I've let myself get bogged down the same way and just have to keep telling myself that it's ok to work on my own quilts at least half of the time. Your fun day was very productive!

Good on you! You're off to a great start. The blocks look great together.

Sometimes, I think quilters forget that many early quilts were made from scraps and old clothing. My eye is immediately drawn to scrappy quilts because they have life and texture that many planned and coordinated quilts do not. I'm glad you found your happy place today.

I know what you mean. I have lost interest in a couple of my current projects too. I still like them I just want to work on something else for a while. Glad you quilting is bringing you some joy.

That's amazing that you posted this today. I just came here thinking, "boy am I getting tired of this new tack I've had lately of finishing up old unfinished projects of mine !"

I want to work with new 'to me' fabrics, and see new designs come into fruition !

Good for you.......maybe I'll take a page out of YOUR notebook and start something fresh before this week is over !

Beautiful new thing you've got going there, by the way !

It is a wonderful scrap project, though I have only made it in a very minuscule version. If you are being guilted into things, I hope you can continue to balance it with fun things, like your Garden Party quilt!

Looking good! Scrappy quilts are fun and so satisfying to use up some of the fabric you have had for years.

Great decision, life is too short to get muddled down in things we no longer love. Do what makes you happy! The scrap blocks are looking wonderful! Have fun!

I think we've all been there. I've been stuck on a few things lately. I might just let them go.

I should have read this post before the latest one. Yes, it is BKH quilt! It's lovely Julie. It is also on my to-do list since I saw Gayle's version. Enjoy! ;^)

I LOVED making my Garden Party! It was such a lot of fun picking colors for the blocks, and even now every time I see one I want to start another! Enjoy!

I never have much of a problem shuffling a not fun project to the next person!
