Dearest Boy update!

This is my version of the Dearest Boy block for this day. I find myself really enjoying the applique process!!  The applique prep?  Not so much, LOL, but I find myself getting a little better at it.  Practice, practice!!
I recently purchased a seam ripper...here is the contact information.  It is so lovely in the hand!!

Have a great day!

The basket fabric works well. Always interesting to see what each of us has chosen for their block fabrics.

Your "Dearest Boy" block is precious! I have a similar seam ripper that a wood-turner from church made for me years ago, I agree-- the feeling in the hand is so very nice; wish that I didn't have to use one that often though!! ;)

I love the fabric you've picked for the basket. It's just perfect. Great job on the block. I keep loosing my seam rippers so I just buy cheap stuff, lol. ;^)

Your Dearest Boy block is beautiful! Great fabric choices and I especially love the red wings on the bird.

What a cute block. I like the bird too, especially since she seem to be checking on her eggs! That really is a good-looking ripper! I'd probably drop it and break it. ---"Love"

Very nice - I use Jenkins freezer paper 8 x 11 cut sheets (Amazon). I copy the pattern onto the freeze paper which eliminates the tracing, etc. Then the only tracing is to trace the pattern onto the background fabric. Saves a lot of time

Another great block. Its nice to have pretty tools to work with even when it's for unsewing

It is such a cute block. I don't enjoy the fiddly applique prep. Maybe it is even why I don't really applique.
Very pretty seam ripper. If you must do unpleasant tasks, do them with beautiful tools.

Beautiful block, I love this quilt!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
