A lovely day! slow stitching style!

I have been working on this binding today...slow stitching.  It is a scrappy binding, so I am changing color when the binding changes colors.  This is a big quilt, and will be perfect for my cabin in the woods (that I don't own yet...but hey, I can dream, right?)
I am almost finished with this applique block, and I spend a wonderful hour slowly placing tiny stitches to finish up the applique today.  I loved those few moments, and it truly relaxed me.
The iris are now blooming.  These are so fragrant, and so pretty...love them!
I have a tomato with little yellow blossoms on it.  It is a total cheat...I just bought it at the store, with the blossoms already on it!!  It will hopefully have tomatoes before the intense heat of summer comes and kills it.

I am linking to Kathy...please go see what others are slow stitching on, too!!

Have a super day!!

Your post just spoke like a slow stitch Sunday. Ahhh! Glad you were able to enjoy the day. Loved seeing all the quilting on your "cabin" quilt..

Once again, you're overachieving! HA Love the stars and your vase/bowl of flowers. Every year I mean to get some purple iris in and every year it doesn't get done. I had a log home in the mountains once--beautiful but WAY too darned cold for me. It was so pretty-just wish it'd been a summer home only. That would've been perfect!

I have a cabin just like yours!

Love the bearded Iris - such a pretty color.

I love doing binding- it means the end is near!! Great job!
I'd love a cabin in the woods too, preferably on a lake. :)
Irises blooming is a sure sign of spring.

The plaid stars are yummy, Julie! So cozy and inviting!
Nice job on the applique block. I love that periwinkle color of the flowers (at least that is how it appears on my computer screen).
Iris blooming?!? Say, what??? My daffodils haven't even bloomed yet, though there are some buds coming up.

I love your 'cabin' quilt. I'd like to make one for my dreamed of cottage near the lake. Thanks for sharing.

Love the "cabin" quilt. I believe we have the same cabin, you and I. It's the one with the big sunny front porch, right? Hahaha! You will have to show us more of that quilt, once you are done with the binding, of course. Enjoy. ;^)

Ah, another view of your star quilt. Won't be long to the finish line.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
