"You can put lipstick on a pig....but it is still a pig!!"

I quilted with big stitch quilting stitches, completing this quilt from last post.  Tada!  It is bound too, so imagine that...a quilt bound at the same time I finish it.    Now...this for this quilt I can say, I think the quilting added a little something!  But maybe not enough for most folks...it is still pretty scrappy and home made looking...maybe downright ugly!  So that means I love it...hee!!!

It is one of those things..."You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig!"

OINK!!!

Just today while digging thru scraps for some 'strings', I found oodles of tiny scraps (squares, triangles, etc.), and I mean tiny, that should work perfectly for those scrap flying geese! Glad I saved them --- again! I love your quilt, and your quilting is beautiful. ---"Love"

Oh, Julie, you are a hoot!
This is what a scrap quilt is all about, and I think it looks great! Can't believe you got it quilted and bound so quickly!

I don't think it's a pig! I think that simple quilts are charming. I love the big stitch and the scrappy colors. I have made many scrap quilts over the last few years and actually prefer them to the ones made with just yardage. They have more personality to me. Great job!

This quilt has all the country charm I look for in a "homemade" quilt. Love it big time. You couldn't have picked a better way to quilt it. The quilting really turns up the charm effect. Bravo! I love the tiny little pieces in the geese. Just awesome! Congrats on finishing the binding too, lol. ;^)

I've long been known for making so-called ugly quilts that were quite eye-catching and pretty in the end.

Maybe that's why I like this one so well. It may not have started out to be a prize-winner, but that ended up ONE GOOD-LOOKING QUILT !

I really like it ! Congrats on another good one. And I really like the quilt in your blog header, too !

I love that quilt. I like scrappy quilts, probably better than ones using yardage. Nice work. Thanks for sharing.
