Merry Christmas to all!!

I have been playing with Bear Paw blocks!!  Above is a plaid, traditional version, larger in size.  Just enjoying some quiet sewing!! And using up some ticking fabric I had, for part of the blocks.  From across the room, the ticking reads just gray.  I would like to make thirty blocks, to make a fairly large quilt.
And!  The smaller blocks, as in the Quiltmania issue, September and October.  These are from all reproduction fabrics.  Just a little variation, you see?  Randy Danto, this is what I was talking about...the variation.

I hope each of you is having a an amazing Christmas!!  I have been thoroughly spoiled and have been baking and cooking much of the day.  Just a quiet day, full of yummy things, including apple pie and cherry pie, turkey and all the yummies to go with it.

I always get filled with quilting energy now that the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over...do you??

The ticking looks fabulous on the Bear Paws.

Low key day here, too. Lots of knitting got done.

I'm just glad when it's over..never been the same since DH passed away. This is the 4th Christmas without him. I've been doing bits and pieces of sewing but not much.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I'm sure my quilting mojo will return as soon as I recover from all the hard work I've done this week!
I can't wait for some quiet time in the quilt studio but will have house guests most of the week.
New Years weekend is all mine for quilting around the clock!

To me the season continues until the first weekend in the new year. We have several family events still to happen and then it will be new years eve. I did have some time to hand quilt today, but that's because I have a hard deadline that is fast approaching. I thought I had until mid Feb. Yikes, I have a couple more days! I'm loving these blocks, I made a big Bears Paw quilt years ago from autumn themed prints and gifted it out. I'll enjoy following your journey with these blocks. Merry Christmas to you!

Like you, I work at a hospital and this year Christmas is my holiday but I am glad it is a quiet one. I am even caught up on Bonnie Hunter's MQ (That surprised even me!). I am also working on a Jingle Bell quilt from Bonnie's new book but not in Christmas colors- nope I changed it a bit and doing it as a Halloween quilt for daughter as Halloween is her favorite holiday! LOL.

Love all of your bears paw blocks. The week between Christmas and New Years is always a busy sewing week for me. I need to be working on a T shirt quilt for my mom, but not sure if that will happen or not! Hope you had a Merry Christmas!

The ticking fabric stripe caught my eye right away. Works so well in this block. Good choice.
Hope you had a nice Christmas. Did you have to work?

Love those bear paw blocks. They have always been a favorite of mine. I am so anxious to take Christmas down and get to sewing again. I haven't had much time for sewing , but another day or two????? I always enjoy seeing what you are working on.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
