Tumalo trails...blocks are all complete!

All the blocks for Bonnie Hunter's Tumalo Trail quilt are complete!  Whoop!!
I still have to cut sashings and cornerstones and get them all sewn together, but at least the blocks are complete.
 The whole kit and caboodle!!
A thick stack of blocks...53 pieces in each block, and 48 blocks all together.  Fun, and lots of pieces...and piecing!

Have a great day, everyone!!

That has got to feel good! Such a great pattern.
Are you doing a scrappy or one-colored sashing?

You asked me about freezer paper applique. If you watch Jan Patek videos on You Tube, it is the closest to how I do my applique. I told you that, if possible, I like the design traced to the background. Most of Jan Patek designs are done sort of free form, so no layout available on most. She has several videos that go through the different steps. I use a milliners needle which is a long needle. Not everyone likes a long needle but once you are used to it, it is hard to go back to a short applique needle.

I really like this quilt. I do believe I need to make one from this pattern. I am interested to see what you use for sashing and cornerstones. Doesn't that big stack of blocks make you feel like a BIG accomplishment?

I have this on my list of quilts to make. After seeing what you have done so far, I'm going to move it up on the list. Can't wait to see your choice for sashing and cornerstones. Thanks for sharing.

Tumalo Trail is high on the list of Quiltville patterns that I may make again. (First one was two years ago.) It is such a great design and your version looks terrific.

Terrific! Wonderful! Scrappy!!! I love the way these blocks all came together!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
