Tumalo Trails...ongoing!!

This is how far I have progressed with the Bonnie Hunter quilt, "Tumalo Trails".  I am to the point of having all the half square triangles completed, and I have almost all the nine patches completed. I thought I was finished with nine patches, but there are more required than I figured!!
Blue bonnets are so pretty here in the spring!!  I truly love their cheerful, colorful blossoms waving in the breeze, and truly love the deep blue purple, lightening to cream on the top of each blossom. So pretty!
These are a weed that is growing in my yard.  Each spring, they spread, and look somewhat like Blue Bonnets, yet they are not.  I wonder what they are?  I do not mow them down until they are finished blooming.

I wish each of you a wonderful Easter, if you celebrate this holiday!!!

Hugs, Julie

This one is very interesting and made mostly from squares. Easy sewing.

Photo of the lavender flowered plant is kinda blurred to me but looks like ajuga. It's not a weed, but a ground cover with that flower in the spring. Is a great dark green ground cover for shade and is not invasive. Maybe some has escaped into the lawn.

I get to see the Bluebonnets this year! I'll be driving just south of Greenville on Thursday (to play with vintage machines).

Looking good Julie! Enjoy the flowers. We are still stuck with some snow and showers.

What a wonderful new pattern you're working on. It's going to another great collection of a myriad of scraps. I've never seen the fields of bluebonnets, but heard it's spectacular.

Aren't those blue bonnets lovely! Your scrap quilt is gorgeous -- it's just so happy and cheerful in those bright colors.

Weeds are good imposters: it's how they manage to survive. ;o)

I love the Tumalo Trails progress!

Great progress on the quilt!
Woke this morning to several inches of snow, so I will enjoy your flowers! : )

This is one of my favorite BH quilts. I love any quilt that has a "path" going through it whether squares like an Irish chain or triangles like this one and Jacob's Ladder, etc. I'm just drawn to the movement. Love the hotos of the blue bonnets, too. Some day, I'll get to Texas when they are blooming!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
