Triangles!!!

I have just been sewing triangles like crazy!  And cutting out more...The intention was to use all my triangles up.  I did not have enough of two inch ones, or three inch ones...so I am cutting and sewing more.
What do you use your mixing bowls for?  LOL!!  These bowls are being used to sort out triangles.
You can see which one of these nine patches just HAS TO GO!!  For a little fun quilt project...
And guess what??  I got to meet Julie, of "Me and My Stitches", at the Dallas Quilt show!!  Whoop!!!!
Julie has generously provided some patterns for giveaway...and I bought one of her famous charms, to give away on the blog, as well.  It is a heart charm, and just so darling...but I cannot get a good picture of it!!

Julie is as nice in person as she seems on her blog...this is where to visit her website!!

http://www.meandmystitches.com/

So, please leave a comment and be entered for one of these three prizes!!  and stop by to see Julie's quilt jewelry...it is splendid!!

Have a great day,

Julie

I love, love, love scrappy quilts. Thank you for the giveaway.

I'm a huge fan of Scrappy Quilts. In fact most of the quilts I make could be described as 'scrappy'! Your Giveaway sounds great. Think your mixing bowls make great Triangle sorters.

I use mixing bowls in my sewing room too. I use jelly roll pans with batting taped inside for mini design boards...not much baking gets done; that's why they have bakeries! Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.

How nice of Julie to offer some patterns for a giveaway. Can't wait to see what you make with the HST's.

I can't say that I've ever used mixing bowls for any quilting related activities, lol. Isn't it nice to meet people and they turn out being just a nice as you picture them? Okay, gotta go check out the charms :)

Love both patterns. I am also a huge triangle fan - I have a cookie jar full (isn't that what cookie jars are for? hehehe) that need a good project, can't wait to see what you do with yours.

Do you make your triangles to size or larger and trim them to size? I make them larger and trim.

*LOL* As good a use for mixing bowls as any!
Hey an eye-popping, low contrast 9-patch would give a quilt a little personality. : )
Oh, I am so happy you got to meet Julie! I love that gal! Never met her, but we have chatted on the phone a few times. Her booth looked awesome. Love her jewelry--have several pieces, so you can exclude me from the jewelry giveaway and let someone else have the joy, but I wouldn't refuse a pattern if it came my way! : )

One year, maybe I can come and visit my Daddy, who lives in Arlington, the same time as the quilt show. He is always willing to drive me around to the various quilt shops in the area. Mary Ann

The 9 patch is my favorite block. It is so versatile there are so many ways to set it or combine it with other blocks.

Wow, what a gorgeous stack of HST's you're building! The 9-Patches are sweet, too, but I can totally agree that the red one seems to overwhelm the others.

It was so fun to meet you in Dallas! I haven't used mixing bowls, but do use a lot of other different sizes and shapes of food storage containers. And cookie sheets are really helpful too.

I have the string quilt that you show as a header on your blog on my "gonna make it" list. I love following your progress on your many projects. My mixing bowls have actually been used for mixing muffin batter this week, so more cooking and less quilting going on here. Thanks for the giveaway. Zollj@bpsnetworks.com
