I have been working on hand quilting this little quilt. These are all left over 1/2 square triangles, from other projects. Yep, I saved them...I save them all! Wish I could have found a brighter pink for the border...NOT!!! I am surprised at how the photo looks, LOL!
I made a mistake and did not trim them down...big mistake. The accuracy is lacking! But hey...live and learn, and I won't do that again. It is fun to work on the hand quilting!!
I have completed the applique part of this free project, starting last fall. This is from Lisa Bongean's blog, and other designers, and I tried to stay caught up. I still need to add a bit of embroidery to some of the blocks, and set them all together. It will be fun Christmas quilt when completed!!
Tada!! I am done with the binding on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt!! This was done by the Magic Binding method. Fast!!!
and complete! That is a good thing...
And the label. I am still working on hand appliqueing that down. But almost there, and then to clip all the threads. Yahoo!!!

Always enjoy visiting to see what your up to.....
I want to try that binding someday, guess I need a finish first.LOL You have some great projects going! Enjoy your stitches today!
Your quilt label is just too cute!
Love your quilts! How is Rosie doing?
Whoa Mama! That IS hot pink! lol. It's a fun quilt so who dare say something about the accuracy. Love your Alleitare quilt and very interesting label you've made. Cute. Enjoy the slow stitching. I am some to do too. We'll stitch together tonight. ;^)
A lot of inspiration going on here. Love that pink border. Now I'm off to google that binding method, thanks!
Trimming triangles is so boring--but the quilt is not! Lots of lovelies here. Il a big fan of the magic binding too. Wonderful finish.
I love seeing all of those little HSTs put to such great use.
I think there are always times when we wish we had done something differently. I guess we do live and learn through piecing our quilts. Love the binding on your mystery quilt. It's a great way to machine sew a binding. Yay, for a great finish.
You are so funny about the pink border. It is a very happy quilt, whether or not the HSTs got trimmed. : )
How do you do it all? I had no idea you had been doing the Christmas blocks, on top of everything else. I downloaded two of the patterns and have made one block into a mini quilt--that is all. Look at you, with all the applique done on every block!
Your mystery quilt is gorgeous. I need to get brave and try that binding method someday. Looks really good!
Very nice! I really love Bonnie's mystery quilt this year.
Love all the hst and that pink! Wow!
Have a wonderful day!
Great label for your mystery quilt Julie!
The decision of "to trim or not to trim HSTs" is always a struggle. I hate to do the trimming, but it really is worth the effort and time when you start to sew them into rows and they fit so nicely together :)
The very pink border is wonderful. So much fun to see your work!
Congratulations Julie to this great mystery quilt finish. What a gorgeous quilt and all the other projects going on in your sewing life. Wonderful to look at.
Greetings,
Sylvia
Wow, you've been busy, Julie! I'm always amazed to see how quickly you put your quilts together. Wish I were as fast. I'm impressed with your little triangle blocks. I don't notice any problems with them even though you say you didn't trim them to size.

What a great use of the left over HSTs. Especially like that label.
Bonnie Hunter mystery looks fabulous! I need to try that flange binding someday.
Such great work! Love the HST quilt. I have to keep everything, also. Your Christmas blocks are so pretty and the mystery quilt is awesome.
Lots of beautiful creations, Julie! Your mystery quilt looks wonderful with that flange on the binding! Great label too! And all those tiny HSTs look great with your hand quilting to finish it off! Love your Christmas blocks...the reindeer in the corner is darling! :)
Love it all! Great binding and label for your Allietare!
I have a bin full of bonus triangles, too. Hmmm... I always get such inspiration from your blog!
