That's a great idea. I love the flowers in this quilt. They add some ladylike feel to it. Were they blocks you had laying around or did you do them especially for this quilt?

The flowers are an awesome addition. Love it!! But then I'm quite the fan of applique.:)
The flowers are great, I have 12 flowers made that I had a big plan to build a quilt around. I think there are some large pieces of fabric with them for something. It has been waiting a number of years and this looks promising. Maybe I will have to pull them out and do something scrappy with HST's.
Can't wait to see what you do next :)

Now this is an good idea! Adding string blocks to the applique flower blocks stretches the handful of applique blocks into a whole quilt.
