I am making the Temecula quilt company blocks (please click on the name for the link) over this summer...except I am making them eight inches finished instead of four inches. I found a whole bunch of eight inch blocks in the quilt closet. Maybe they can all be friends and be a quilt together!! The backgrounds are different, but with sashing, maybe it could work.
Here are some little quilts I love on my old piano...just playing here.
Lori, do you see yours???
Below is my mother's fruit bowl. It often had apples in the falltime in it, or bananas occasionally. It is heavy!! Does anyone know anything about it???
And at long last...here is the sampler...what I am slow stitching on. I have done a lot, lot, lot of quilting of this, and am slow stitching the binding down. I find a more personal connection with the fabric and fibers when I hand quilt...and I love it. Wish I could hand stitch EVERYTHING!!!
Hope you all are finding some time to slow stitch this Sunday!! I am linking to Kathy...so you can peek at what everyone else is slow stitching on today!
Have a great day, everyone!!!

Your Temecula Sampler blocks look great. I can't tell which are those and which are the others, so I am sure they will all be happy in the same quilt in the end.
Some of the Temecula blocks look like they would be so much easier in an eight inch size.
Gorgeous blocks! Love the quilt you made from Lori's!
Love your piano! and of course the little quilts.
Nice blocks.
Nice blocks.
Nice blocks.
Your antique piano makes a wonderful backdrop for your collection of minis.
Life of Plenty quilt looks fabulous as does the mini's on the piano.
Dear Julie,
what a great post to read, love your sampler quilt and the little blocks you have layed out.
Your old piano is gorgeous. Looks so beautiful with the little quilts on it.
Happy stitching,
Sylvia
Looks to me like those 8" blocks play very well together!
What a fun display of little quilts on the beautiful old piano. I see Lori's AAQI quilt in there. : )
Your sampler is great--and so special that you have been able to hand quilt it!
Love the minis and all your blocks.
I wonder if the fruit bowl is Lalique?
Very fun to see the minis! Your sampler is looking wonderful too.:) Wish I had the TIME to hand stitch everything!
All the blocks play nicely together! It will be beautiful! Check out all those minis! They look so good all together, posing n your piano. I prefer hand quilting, and always have a quilt on the hoop, but it takes so long to do just one!
