Just playing with the little pieces!!

I got the binding sewn onto this quilt, and now I am in the process of hand stitching the binding.
 The whole quilt.
Rosie is inspecting the stitching.  She says it is satisfactory...this time!!  Gosh how I love that little girl.
Some of you may remember this crumby flying goose quilt, of some years back.  It needs something...too scrappy?  It needs a unifying feature!  Maybe a vine in the ecru panels...maybe different borders.  I will think about that.

I used the connector corner method, and saved the triangles.  So,

I am bordering each of the triangles on two sides, to make a little quilt.   I know...scrappier than ever!!  But I am liking it.  Using up all the little pieces and parts, here.

Have a great day, everyone!!  I hope you are getting to play in the scraps too!

I have never done hand binding, I'm always in too much of a hurry to get it done. I think the vines on the second quilt would be awesome!

Waste not, want not! Your scrappy quilts are awesome. I love hand sewing the binding down on a quilt. You'd think that would encourage me to finish my projects at a faster speed. :-)

You are the master of little pieces. Hand stitching the binding down is my mode of finishing too. Have fun using some of those little bits up.

I was just thinking of you...as I sewed bindings on THREE little quilts! Yes, can you believe it? I get to play "binding blitz" with you 2 months in a row! Love your quilts on this post, and I think the idea of a vine is a great one!

Congratulations on your finish! I am glad it passed Rosie's inspection. I really love the little scrappy quilt you are working on. I am sure the right idea for your other top will come, just give it some time.

The scrappier, the better!

I love the quilt in the first photos. The pattern uses squares, yet there is a distinct illusion of a straight line. The other two are lovely scrappy quilts.

I love visiting your blog and the split 9 patch is gorgeous! What would you think about putting large slab plain borders onto the scrappy geese for a place for the eye to rest? Something fairly dark? I dunno, but maybe. Hope you are feeling a little better; you are in my prayers for wellness.

You've got some pretty small pieces you are working with! I like the flying geese quilt. Maybe it just needs quilting:)

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
