A blog about my life and quilts especially! This plaid quilt was made by me...pattern by Evelyn Sloppy in her Strings book!!
You have had a very productive day--love both quilt blocks
Love those blocks! Have yourself some happy days off! I'm taking some time off the first week of June. Time to clean, organize and sew!
I've never seen the Carolina Lily block before. Yours look great in those colors. Nice job.
http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CloverBlossomBlock.htmlIt resembles the Clover Blossom on this site.Beautiful patchwork on your blog!Best wishes!
Those Carolina lilies are lovely
This is an old pattern, but I have seen it called English Ivy, or Tea Leaf, never Carolina Lily. Whatever it's called, it's looking good!
That's a different variation of the Carolina Lily block than the one I am familiar with, it but I do love it! You are one very productive lady!! Have a wonderful weekend, Julie.
I think one of the vintage look quilts I made used that same block you call Carolina Lily. I remember sewing a couple pieces together the wrong way and having to un-sew a bit.
Love the Carolina Lily blocks!!! Definitely an old pattern, but very striking!!!!
Enjoy your days off, Julie. Happy Mother's Day to you too. :)
I'm working with batiks at the moment too! Love your diagonal strings quilt and the perfect storm story :)
I have to say that you are realy good to inspire with al your beautiful quilting !! I love you quilts and your writing :-)Elisabeth
Happy Mother's Day weekend. Love your blocks!!
