Happenings here!

I am trying to keep up with the BOW Woolie blocks from Primitive Gatherings...whew! I am pretty behind...I have about half of the stitching done, and most of the prepping done...and block nine will be here tomorrow! The bottom right block need lots more prepping done, but at least I am making headway, right?
Hey, I won something! Debi of www.debiquilts.blogspot.com had a giveaway of these wonderful charms...and I won a package! Wow, what a ton of fun fabrics! Thank you, Debi...my wheels are turning and I am figuring out what to make with these...thank you!!
The string quilt had just a little bit of border left over...well, maybe a lot left over! I cut off a little bit and made a different sort of mug mat, hand quilted it with big stitches...and called it good! Just another way for me to use every little bit of fabric I have left! I am making a larger one for the table too...

******************************Nurse's notes**********************

Guess what? The guy we defibrillated and got him back...three times? Sent me a big box of chocolate covered strawberries! Yum, yum!! Yes, I did share...in fact, only ate one of those...but, hey, I am on a diet anyway....so that was a bright spot in my day for sure!!

**********************************************************************

Have a great day, all!!!

It's always important to thank others who have helped you out of a bad spot. I'm glad the man and his wife acknowledged your great care.

As always, great quilt projects and progress.

I like that you got thanked, I know people say "you were doing your job and got paid" but I have gone back several times to the nurses station who looked after my mom and my husband. Anyways, you wool app is gorgeous, are you doing blanket stitch on it? What thread are you using?

The wool blocks look so nice!
It is nice to have people respond with thanks for a job well done (saving a life--that is pretty good, I'd say!!).
Your rug mug is cute. Nice idea.
Also, I just got Evelyn Sloppy's book--I've coveted your header quilt so long, but couldn't do the sew-along recently. Someday!

So wonderful to hear that there is still gratitude being expressed in the world. It's not always easy to find.

It's nice to know that you are appreciated. And what a great thank you it was. Love your cute little mug rug, especially the big stitching. I still haven't tried it, but have finished two doll quilts, so I really should try the big stitching on them.
