OK, then! Take that, you blue Starry, Starry Night quilt! I have been very anxious to get this all in one piece, and only have the three borders to go. I was kind of worried and anxious about this quilt, because I was running out of blues. Seems strange, huh...I sort my fabrics into color...the fabrics that are not 1930's or 1800's reproductions, or batiks...you know...just miscellaneous blues. So, I used every little piece I had that was not spoken for or in a sorted specialized bin. I was purposefully trying to use all these fabrics up in the blue drawer...and I did! I am glad they are all being used, as some are quite old. I even have a few blue squares leftover. Now I can relax and have fun making the borders!
To make this quilt, I started with 5 inch blue charm squares, and cut more blues from my stash. I used 2.5 inch x 5 inch sashing, and then used 1.5 inch connector corners to make the star points on the sashing. This is a big quilt...big enough for dear hubby to cover up his toes AND his nose!!
Thank you to everyone who is sending some pink fabric for the breast cancer project...I have started a box, and will add to it as fabrics arrive!! Could Mariebeers and Wilma and MarilynMckinnon write me back with an e-mail address, from last post? I seemed to get "no-reply" when I tried to e-mail you back...thank you!
Have a great day, all!!

Makes me think peaceful thoughts (or would that be pieceful)...maybe "Lake Placid" would be a good name??
It's lovely.
It looks great - what a wonderful way to use up your blue fabric.
Love it!
Uh oh, did you say, "a few blue squares left over"? You know they are just seed for more blues to appear in your bins overnight. ;oD
This is a stunning quilt, and I love it.
Lookin' good! I have the same quilt in a less complete form using Kansas Troubles. But I have to say I think I like your blues better.
mine is Horselove57 at aol.com
Your starry night quilt is stellar!
It is smashing! Perfect!!

Your blue quilt looks great!
Can you remind me of your address so I can send a little bit of pink for the package??

You are amazing and that must have been a big blue draw. Now you will have to fill it again LOL.
Gorgeous starry night quilt!! I sort all my fabrics by color and then light medium and dark. I love scrap quilts best so that is the only thing that makes sense to me.
Beautiful Julie! I love blues. :-) Have a happy week!
I have had that pattern in my wish folder for over 15 years. It's much better just watching you make it!
Love your quilt! beautiful work!
Just beautiful, Julie!!
Your quilt looks fantastic and how great is it to have used up all those blues!
I love this scrappy blue quilt. It looks so much more complicated to make than 5 inch charms and corners sewn to the sashing. But how do you survive now without blue in your stash?
Wow! that blue quilt looks fantastic!!! I picked up my pink fabric this afternoon on my way home from work, it'll be in the post very soon!!!
Oh Julie, your top looks amazing!
This quilt is just awesome!
Very pretty quilt, love all the blues. You did a fantastic job.
Your quilt reminds me that I made one of the same design in blues. I wonder who has the quilt top because it isn't here. I sometimes donate quilt tops to a guild auction. You are going to have to shop for some blues for your stash.
Your quilt is gorgeous! Always love a blue or red quilt. This quilt has been on my list of quilts to do for quite awhile. Love it!
Hello Julie, blue is my favourite colour....think I would have withdrawal symptoms...if my blue stash was depleted so...grin...hugs lyn
Gosh that is a pretty quilt in the making.
Julie, it's gorgeous! I'm definitely a "blues" girl.
I LUV-LUV blues...This is sooo pretty!
