Hmmm...don't know what to think!!

More blue blocks!! I really enjoy making these blocks! They fit together just perfectly, and that is fun, and using up all these blues is fun too!
I am thinking of a border like this...using up the 3.5 inch blue
strips I cut for the body of the quilt. It all looks rather...bluish together!!
The first tomatoes of the season, picture courtesy of dear husband...aren't they pretty? I wonder how long these little tomatoes will last...
I received wonderful mail! Above is a candle mat, made of the most wonderful tiny stippling, and a lovely rose in the middle. Joyce, thank you!! I love this...it is on display and will never have a candle sitting on it, I am afraid!
Joyce also is making a 4 inch star quilt, and she had some pieces and parts to spare, and sent them too!! I am loving these!! I am thinking of what alternate blocks to put with these beauties!
I received my mother's day gift a little early...a new purse! A very pretty new purse...thank you dear son and dear DIL...I love you both so much!!!

What I don't know what to think about is my memory!! What on earth...am I going to totally lose it or what? Hmmmm...sleep...is very important...I need sleep!!!

Have a super day, everyone!!!

Loving the look of the blue quilt, you must have a lot of blue fabrics?
No more tomatoes for us here as we head to winter here in New Zealand.

Too much blue? Never!

Seriously, tomatoes? Now I am really envious as the temperatures are barely in the high 40s here.

You have received some lovely things, lucky you.
Your tomatoes look delicious. We have enjoyed beautiful tomatoes this summer but they are at an end now and back to the shop variety.
Another lovely quilt, you do lovely work.

Cool blues - great border idea. Love it but then I always seem to love your colour choices.

Wonderful quilt coming together here. If you're not sure about all the blues, maybe try auditioning other colours for the inner border. Initially I thought orange, but this is probably too strong a contrast!! How about yellow or a purple??? Play with it and see if anything helps :)

Julie, you make the best scrappy quilts! I love the blue one. The border is perfect. The tomatoes look so good. Hope we can get into our garden soon.

Julie, I have a similar quilt that will be published in the Summer NQA Quilting Quarterly Magazine. I, too, love this pattern. I think you call it jewel box, but I call it Jacob's Ladder. I haven't seen Bonnie's version. Mine has a different border than yours, but I do love the way your border looks. Joyce and I have been friends for 25 years so I know what the 4" star quilt top looks like -- beautiful, of course.

Julie, I love your blue and white quilt. I have a real weakness for blue and white. I had to giggle when I saw the photos of your tomotoes. We planted our tomato plants this afternoon. We've learned not to plant until after Easter here in Atlanta.

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
