Happy birthday Dear Husband!!!

Today is my husband's birthday! He is one year more beautiful...maybe two years more beautiful, he has had a wonderful year! Happy Birthday, darling!!!

Week two...on Lisa's Garden, from Primitive Gatherings. The wool is so much fun...if you have never tried appliqueing with wool, I can tell you, it is a blast! I am done with week two, and week three block fabric arrived today.

Dear Jane...I have missed you! I did another two blocks today...this one was a favorite. I had to sneak some plaid in there somewhere (sorry Jane, if you are offended). It was done by reverse applique as above...
And this is the finished block. I know I said I was only going to show progress when I have a row done, but each one is really a good deal of work, and we are encouraged to share our processes...so here it is!
My dear husband and I planted some Caladiums last week...and they are popping up now. Each Wednesday, when I weigh in, I will take a picture of the caladiums, just for fun. I bet they will grow fast!

Speaking of weigh in Wednesday...I gained a pound! Not surprising with all the holiday revelry on Father's day....back to it, girl!

Dear Rosie...she really loves her new toy! MINE! she shouts with all the body language possible for a 12 pound doggie!!!

Have a super day,

Julie

Pass on a "Happy Birthday" to your husband from a Okie Lady.

Good idea to show us the progress of the new flower bed...

Rosie is such a cutie...I bet she enjoys all the attention you all give her.

Stay cool...i just checked the heat index is 105 degrees and the temp is 97...that is too hot!

Take care of your self and your patents.

Hi Julie,

I was stalking blogland during lunch and found your blog. I can't take my eyes off your beautiful quilt in your header. Is it all plaids? Are they shirts? Just beautiful and awesome. Wonderful work "woman" ship;-)

Blessings,
Jilly

Happy birthday to hubby--glad he survived that last little crisis!

I love caladiums. If I weren't just about planted out in this heat and humidity, I might put some in. Well, there's always next year.

Attagirl, Rosie!

You're motoring along on the quilt blocks, they look gorgeous. I hope as the plants grow, you'll shrink!

"Happy Birthday, Mr. W! You probably know this already...but you've got the most darling of wives!"

What a cool idea...snapping a pic of your Caladiums on weigh-in day. You're so clever!

LOVE that pieced/appliqued quilt in progress. It is so *you!*

Hugs!

Give your husband a Happy Birthday hug.

The caladiums are going to look lovely. They are such an attractive plant.

Cool block, the reverse applique is great for this one. I appreciate the first pic to show the whole block underneath. Some of these blocks are very time consuming, so blow your own horn when you complete them! Thanks for sharing.

Glad you are showing your DJ blocks-each one is a masterpeice of it's own! Hellos and hugs to Rosie-what a doll---she looks a lot like our Buster---but is a lot older 17 years old he is, but still sometimes runs around like a puppy! Happy BD to hubby!

I think he should be able to take a year off after the health scare this year, but Happy Birthday to him anyway :)

I've been scared to start my wool applique but you're having so much fun, I may jump in with both feet now!

Rosie is sweet.

Dear Jane must take you as you are!

Great progress on your BOW, Julie. I'm still working on week one. I've decided to break down and get the threads from Primitive Gatherings, but I'm going to get the wool blocks prepped and ready. I'm working on Dear Jane, too, but slowly.

Hello Julie, Happy Birthdy to your DH.....Dear Jane is coming along....Hugs Lyn

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
