A scrappy day!

OK, I finished my bargello quilt blocks...all of them. I got tired of it and put the blocks away to put together on the next day off. But I made a big mistake...did not put my sewing machine away! And this is what resulted. I had a baggie of crumbs leftover and made them into 6 inch blocks, then sashed them. No new fabric...just stash/mess fabric. It was fun! Now how do I finish this? Like a crazy quilt? Or just quilt in each little fabric place? Please tell me!
What a crookedy little quilt! Again, with some fabric and triangles from the crumb bag. OK! Off to scrub the bathtub!!

Good for you for getting those bargello blocks done. I still need to finish mine. That B.Bowl was almost a year ago, wasn't it? Love your little scrappies!

What cute little quilts! If you are machine quilting your little crumb quilt why not just do a type of stipple or meander all over, not paying attention to the sashing at all. The fabrics in the blocks are busy so any quilting wouldn't show up much. Just a thought!

So cute and you had fun...just letting your artistic abilities flow...and these little quilts were the results.

Have a fun weekend...if working hope all your patients are good ones.

I visited your Blog from Quiltville. Love the little scrappy blocks. It's probably a good time to practice a little machine meandering. Is there such a thing as crumb quilting? As opposed to crumb piecing?

Have fun with it!
Cheers!

Oh scrappy happy day! How fun...just to "doodle," so to speak.

Hmm...have you ever done the "Big Stitch" using pearl cotton? That's always something fun for a change. And quite fast. Crazy quilting sounds good too. Glad you're in charge. I have a tough time making decisions! ;-)

LOVE the wonky little piece. It reminds me of something that should be in a Little Quilts book! Perhaps a future-little-granddaughter-baby-doll-quilt. ??? ;-)

Love the crumbie blocks!!! I think that (of course) an all over baptist fan pattern sets them off nice...or a simple meander too because the quiltlets are so busy...

Love the pineapple blossom!

love the little heart quilt, so sweet.
I would hand quilt the other one in a baptist fan pattern...would make it easier an all over desgin.
think it would look wonderful as well

Perfectly lovely little quilts Julie! And isn't it fun to sew with "no rules, just fun"??? I think some playtime like that is just the best! Love the way the bargello turned out. You have created your own magic with that one! Hugs, Finnie

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
