Well. I was sorting and cleaning out my 2 inch strip bin. I had lots of tiny short pieces...so I am doing this! It is very labor intensive...2 inch strip, one inch white strips in-between each little piece. I left out the dull colors, and tried only to choose bright colors.
It is sort of an addictive quilt, you know? Just mindless sewing. It is like sewing a lot of long borders, though, so each long strip must be carefully measured and pinned.
So I have this many 2 inch strips left, so however far this goes is as far as the quilt is long. Onwards!!!
1.5 inches forward at a time (finished strip size!)

Great idea and very cute quilt.
What a pretty little quilt. It must be fun to see all those bright colors come together.
Very striking! Just so you know, there's no doubt you have more patience (notice the spelling) than I do! I'm guessing it will turn out to be one of your favorite quilts when finished! Have fun! ---"Love"
You are so good at using little pieces. I like how the white separates the colors from each other. Sort of looks like a colorful brick wall.
Great use of your scraps.
Looks like a brick wall in a colorful fantasy world! Really fun looking, but I can see it is pretty labor intensive.
What a great use of your scraps and looks fantastic. I think mindless sewing is vital during a global pandemic!
This looks wonderful! Great use of those strips!
I just love the look of this quilt! Scraps are more fun for me to sew together than anything!!
I like that idea! I have a lot of leftover binding strips that aren't very long, but since I cut those 2.25", they are useless for the 2.5" stuff. This might be the ticket! But I'm thinking maybe I'll just cut a bunch of 1×2.25" white pieces and sew them between the strips and do it like a jelly roll race - no measuring then! (Oh no, not ANOTHER idea/project!)
It’s cute - a fun brick wall quilt! I ❤️ it.
Really wonderful!!
Love how you're putting all those bright strips together. Fun idea.
You are my hero! What a wonderful quilt. Waste not want not 💕
I agree with janet it looks like a bright brick wall or chimney!! What a fun project!
What a terrific idea! I'm going to remember it . . . heaven knows I have the scraps.
What a great way to use up all those itty bitty scraps! It's beautiful :0)
It looks so nice and colourful and very effective use of those little strips. Perhaps something like this would make a great leader and ender project as well?
Wow - wish I'd thought of it. It's a beauty! I might rethink the bits and pieces in my trash bin. I'm glad you told of which you chose, and those not chosen. Very pretty.
Great quilt (so far). Brights are nice.
I might attempt this in a doll quilt size, lol, but you are brave to make those long strips :) Very bright and cheerful, mindless stitching and playing with fabric sounds good!
Love this quilt! What a great way to use up those scraps. :)
I absolutely love this quilt! So happy, just what we all need!
Very cool idea! And I love the effect! Way to use up the scraps!
