Quilt show!

There was a local quilt show today!  I entered my Monterrey Medallion quilt.  No ribbons, but it was such fun to see it hanging up there!
 My green medallion quilt.
 My friend Sandy's Monterrey medallion.
And another one, by my friend Marilyn, using a different layout.  We all made our own version using the same pattern.  Marilyn hand quilted hers!  I saw very, very few hand quilted quilts.
I loved this sampler; isn't it pretty?
Here is the info about the maker.
And this one would be fun to make too!
And the maker's ribbon and information.
This was the Grand Champion quilt.  It deserved every honor it got!!  Wow!
And the maker information.  It was very densely machine quilted.
And lastly, this is my friend Sharon's quilt.  She won a blue ribbon!  Hurrah for her Monterrey Medallion!!!

Lots more to come,

Julie

All the quilts you showed are lovely, but I like yours best --- R/W/B, you know! I forgo that show was this weekend, but I'm not able to go anyway. Boohoo! I with all the guilds would have their own shows like they did a few years ago; it's too big altogether...just my opinion. Your quilt really is a beauty! ---"Love"

Loved the show! Thanks for sharing with us. Yours quilts are awesome. I give you a ribbon on each quilt because they are, you know, awesome! I prefer the Monterrey Medallion in blue and the one by your friend in orange because well ... you know... blue ... and ORAnge, lol. The multi-colored one does nothing to me, sorry Sharon. The Baltimore Album is exquisite. WOW! IMHO, quilts like that shouldn't be machine quilted. Machine quilting removes the vintage look in my mind. Lovely show. Enjoy! ;^)

The quilts are all lovely! Thanks for sharing. In my upcoming guild quilt show next month, I have seven quilts that are hand quilted. I had to dig deep to find hand quilted quilts that have never been shown and there are still more for another show. Yes, not many shows have hand quilting anymore.

Lovely quilt show! How fun to see your work hanging up there. That Hanover Star quilt also made me think it would be fun to sew.

Love your green medallion quilt, that feathered star is fantastic. I love seeing the same pattern made by different people and how they use colour and fabric to make it different.

What a great showing of your quilts and those of your friends. I'm sure the visitors enjoyed seeing the great variations with the same pattern. Glad you entered.

I can see right away that the "very very scrappy" is what the judges are looking for now!

Your quilt is just as pretty as the one who won a ribbon, it is just the judges!

Have a wonderful day - where was the quilt show? We are home from our getaway! Hugs
