Slow car stitching!

I have been working every single day, or I have been riding in the car, on a road trip.  Whew!  Nice to have a day off to catch up on everything.  Above is my plaid Jewel box quilt.  It is bound!  Whoop!  I did it in the car, and it is KING sized.  It went quickly, though; I am so glad it is bound now and ready to use.
I cannot get a picture of the whole thing;  it is just too big.  Lots  of shirts and plaid fabrics in this one!
I am pretty much in love with the Circular thinking quilt.  I appliqued lots of circles onto squares, in the car...and have lots to go.  I am finding it great fun to remember all these old scraps, and some new scraps, too.   I am liking the whimsical children's fabrics, too...just as much fun for me as for children, I think!  I will include more pieced circles now, too, to sprinkle in, for interest.  Great fun, and I am loving this project!!!
Hand quilting and binding small things...I have made three of the little basket blocks, for mug rugs.  PROGRESS is the word!!!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday, full of rest and renewal and fun!!

It's a great feeling when we accomplish a finish or see things progress. I've pulled out all my UFOS and WIPS and have them all where I can see / find them to keep me motivated. Then I added a list of these to my blog sidebar for added accountability. I decided last night to begin working on these, some time every day, even if it's only an hour, even if I have a newer project I want to do, I'm going to plug away at the list until they are completed. So last night I got the oldest one on the list, the Precious Moments counted cross stitchery, and I stitched on it for approx. 2 hours or so. I am SO CLOSE to finishing it, just a little more outlining. I'm embarrassed to tell you that I started this in 1985 or 1986. And I am determined to complete it and turn it into a pillow cover or frame it or something!!! Happy Sunday stitching!

Oh! Yep! I need one of that! Lol! LOVE the plaid Jewel Box. My goodness it is big but OH! so gorgeous!! I want one too! Jewel box is on my to-do list but I wasn't going for plaid. Too bad I have already started to cut the fabric. Heck! I can always make two. There's no limits, right? lol. So much hand work going on at your place. All are beautiful and very well done. Congrats on all these charming finishes. ;^)

I started making the circle blocks myself!! Probably won't do the 365 (I think that's where it started, right?) because my backgrounds are 6 1/2". I'll do whatever is needed for maybe a twin size then donate it! Gives my something to do in the evening. You musta had some trip!

Good that you can stitch in the car. In the past, I have felt like I need to help watch the road while my husband drove. Now that he had a stroke and his vision is somewhat impaired, I am the driver. I need one of those self driving cars.

I can't believe how many wonderful scrap quilts you produce, while still holding down a job. Incredible!
Your circle collection is growing, and looking good!
And you know I love the little creations. : )

What wonderful progress. Binding a king size quilt in a car it quite the challenge. Jewel Box is a treasure for sure!

Hope I may use an image of the your lovely traditional blue bird on another blog--with credit for you and your site--I wrote a story where the heroine works on a quilt off and on through trying circumstances (The American Revolution) which features a blue bird in the center. I thought your quilt was lovely and fit the bill.

Hexies, rainbow quilts and plaids!

Good morning to all!!!  Above is a hexagon, for English paper piecing.  My kitten Lucky has discovered them, and decided that they are great...
