Just looking in the closet, folks, and I found this quilt top. Strings and scraps!! My favorite thing of all time! I really need to get this one quilted and on to it's next owner. I remember this quilt top went together very quickly, and I loved it...and imagined all that lovely empty space in the alternate blocks with pretty hand quilting.
Another view. I love the littlest pieces and strings of fabric...love, love!!
A little leftover quilt...made of leftovers, that is.
This is the prize for the binding blitz!!! For May...so I am opening the linky box, and please feel free to add your quilts to the link-up. I will randomly draw for this book, from the finished bindings.
And last, but not least are my Everyday Patchwork blocks. I made three more today, and that is about the extent of the sewing for now. I am loving making these!!
Have a wonderful day!
Julie

I love your scrappy zig zag border.
It's a very pretty quilt you found in the closet. Yes, yes, get it out of there, hand-quilt it and let the world see this little beauty. It's too cute to be stuck in the closet. I love the border!! Will you quilt circle of feathers or pretty baskets in the negative space?
Wish I could find such lovely quilt tops in my closet. : )
What a sweet little quilt from leftovers. So fun to make and enchanting to see.
Love the Everyday Patchwork blocks you have made, and I think the pinwheel cornerstones will look great!
Oh I would be very happy to find such a treasure in the closet! That border is perfect too! Love your everday blocks any special plan for them?
I love your basket quilt! What a great quilt to find just waiting for finishing. I had completely forgotten about binding blitz, but luckily I have one finish for this month. I just haven't posted it! I plan to get that up tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get it up in time to link to Binding Blitz1
I think you have a magic closet. It just keeps on giving and giving.
Oh yes! A Kim Diehl book!!! And the one I want too :*) How fortunate that I was able to finish up this quilt so I could share this week. I've been meaning to join in the party for a while - so glad to finally join in the fun :*)
I love your baskets quilt - that border treatment is perfect for it! And the little scraps mini - ooo-la-la!!!
Oops! I didn't get a picture of the quilt I bound in May, and, it's already been given to Quilts of Compassion. I like your scrappy basket quilt top.
What a treasure to find in your closet! I love a string quilt, a basket string quilt is even better. Great border! I look forward to seeing everyone's finishes!
LOVE all I see! So pretty, the baskets have some fabulous quilting space my friend!
Dear Julie,
your quilt top is so pretty and the cute little quilt has such lovelz color combinations in it.
I have been quilting my nails of, yes, the needle glider thimble out of ceramic has sanded of my pinter finger nail. I am really trying to make it, every day a few stitches. So exciting to look at all the beautiful finished quilts every month. It is like an exhibition of beauty to me.
Greetings,
Sylvia
WOW! I sure wish I had some of those gorgeous FINISHED tops hanging around my closets! I only find UFOs lurking about...SCREAMING to be finished! Close that door quick!! :o)) You are right...all that lovely space for your beautiful hand quilting! Can't wait!
The string baskets are delightful and the zig zag borders movement just adds to the charm. Your right the open space lends itself to all kinds of added designs and texture with the quilting. Thanks for hosting the binding blitz. I love seeing what others have finished. I have a couple of binding to get done one of these days so I can join in too.
The baskets are charming and the zig zag border is wonderful with them.
I'm so disappointed that I don't have a quilt binding to share this month ... I'd love to win that book. But I don't think that I've touched my hand quilting at all in the month of May, and I can't bind my quilt until the quilting is done. :-o
I love your basket quilt ... adorable. Whoever is the recipient will be blessed for sure.
Finally, I get to link up!! Love your quilt, but I love all of your quilts! Thanks for the chance to win - what a great prize - Kim's books are among my favorites, and I've been wanting this new one, but haven't had a chance to buy it yet. Now I'm going to go check out the rest of the links.
Those baskets are so fun--love the border and can't wait to see how you quilt it!
I wish I did have something ready to bind, but no...The basket quilt is really pretty.
