Maybe the angel block needs some borders? Just experimenting here. I am thinking I could make one for each month. Hmmmm...just thinking!!
I am in the process of making a few mug rugs, using up strings and little leftovers bits and pieces of blocks. These will be fun to hand quilt on road trips!
And Temecula stars!! These are fun! Mine are not perfect, but I will get better as I practice...or not...either way I love them!! two inches finished...they are itty bitty!!
I would love for you to share with me your concept of what an angel is. Some people responded last post, and I thank you so much for that. I have a specific reason for wanting to know...thank you for sharing your thoughts with me!!

Hmmm maybe an angel is someone doing God's work....whether human, animal or spiritual!
The angel block is sweet. Either alone or in a quilt of several blocks.
The mug rugs are very cute--and a great use of little leftovers.
Love the Temecula stars! Wish I had time to do that one--maybe if I'd stay off the computer I would!
I seem to be alone in my thinking that the deceased can be angels, but I have had so many friends tell me of deceased loved ones visiting them to bring comfort or help. I consider that an angelic visit.
Hmmm angels, well the bible uses the term mal'ak YHWH, which means messenger of G-d. And according to Kabalah, angels exist in the worlds above ours as an extention of G-d to produce effects in this world.
Anyway I love your angel block and those Temecula stars and great. So tiny .......
The mug mats are cute as can be. I am still enjoying the one you made for me a couple of years ago. I use it multiple times each day to park my mug of tea. Love it!
Love love the mug rugs!
I love those cute little stars. I want to make them but I can't start yet. I have another pressing quilt just now.
My thoughts on angels: They are messengers and/or ministering angels of God. They can be spirits: those who lived on earth and have died or those who have not yet been born. Or they can be person with bodies of flesh and bone: either already resurrected from the dead or translated, such as Enoch and Elijah.
Your angel block is lovely.
Those little stars are amazing!
Pretty blocks.
I guess the meaning for Angels will be different for different people for different reasons. To me they represent peace & joy, a bit like fairy. They are for me very a iconic country look.
I do love that angel block and the idea of making an "angel of the month" quilt is a great one. As for what angels are, I think you have gotten just about every answer I'd have given...and then some! I also like to believe angels are "protectors and guardians" who watch over us and pray for us.
Sweet angel!! And I'm loving those mug rugs. You are smart to make them ahead!
LOVE your tiny temecula stars... aren't they fun!?!?
So glad you are sewing along too!
I will email you about angels...
I love the mug rugs. This makes me want to go through all my bits and pieces and see what comes out!
The little stars are adorable!!
When I think of angels, they are girls and sweet.
Here is an interesting talk on Angels that you might find helpful:
