I was recently on a road trip...so those hours were hand quilting time for me!! I am big stitching this plaid one, and decided to make little stitchie stars in the tiny nine patches. Can't wait for another trip so I can work on this, it is great fun! Who says quilting has to be just running stitches!?
I hand quilted this one too, just a diagonal across the patterned background fabric...fun and fast!
And I am still hand stitching this one...I am all the way around the flying geese background pieces now, so just have to add the heart quilting on the flying geese. I love hand quilting! Hope you have had some time to slow stitch too!!!

Love the stars in the corner stones, they really sparkle!
Very pretty quilt. The stars in the blocks are a great addition to the quilting.
I spied a zig zag stitch, too. Fun!

Looks like fast stitching to me! Wow - you are on a roll! I love the little stars that you added in.
What a gorgeous plaid quilt Julie. I fell in love with your banner when I first saw it, and again and again every time I see it. Great idea to sew the little stars in the 9-patches. So cute. Dasha
Fantastic job. You've completed so much in so little time. I love the whimsy the snowflakes add to the corner stones.
I love the little stitches in the 9-patches. How clever!
Oh my how lovely, I have never gotten good at hand quilting but do a small piece from time to time.
Nice work!

I just love your plaid quilts and the hand stitching you are doing!
What fun quilting! I love that you are branching out an using new stitches.
I admired the quilt in your banner for a long time. Then discovered I actually owed the book with the pattern in it. I started the quilt at a retreat almost two years ago and recently finished it. It is one of most favorite quilts and has already been claimed by more than one family member. Someone is going to be disappointed.
Love this! Wonderful stitching.:)
I absolutely adore hand quilting. I'm getting ready to go on a vacation at the end of the month and look forward to lots of hand quilting time. The stitchy stars are a great touch!
