Slow Stitching Sunday!!

I was recently on a road trip...so those hours were hand quilting time for me!!  I am big stitching this plaid one, and decided to make little stitchie stars in the tiny nine patches.  Can't wait for another trip so I can work on this, it is great fun!  Who says quilting has to be just running stitches!?
I hand quilted this one too, just a diagonal across the patterned background fabric...fun and fast!
And I am still hand stitching this one...I am all the way around the flying geese background pieces now, so just have to add the heart quilting on the flying geese.  I love hand quilting!  Hope you have had some time to slow stitch too!!!

What a gorgeous plaid quilt Julie. I fell in love with your banner when I first saw it, and again and again every time I see it. Great idea to sew the little stars in the 9-patches. So cute. Dasha

Fantastic job. You've completed so much in so little time. I love the whimsy the snowflakes add to the corner stones.

I admired the quilt in your banner for a long time. Then discovered I actually owed the book with the pattern in it. I started the quilt at a retreat almost two years ago and recently finished it. It is one of most favorite quilts and has already been claimed by more than one family member. Someone is going to be disappointed.

I absolutely adore hand quilting. I'm getting ready to go on a vacation at the end of the month and look forward to lots of hand quilting time. The stitchy stars are a great touch!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
