Good Evening Y'all!! Here it is almost 10 pm...a couple hours before the New Year. I know our friends in Australia and New Zealand celebrated long hours ago, amid fireworks and fun. I sewed today, so that was my celebration! Above are the corners of the Quiltville mystery quilt! I used pink instead of lime greens. Can I get a whoop, whoop!!?
I have all the other pieces and parts all ready to go, when the mystery is finally revealed tomorrow...so what fun to try and figure it out! But I am not trying...just waiting to see what Bonnie has come up with!!
I got a Christmas present in the mail!! Really, I got it some time ago, and have been absolutely loving it ever since. What a darling little hanging, I love it, Lyn! Thank you so much! The hanger is absolutely the cutest thing...see the hearts on the ends?
And Lyn also sent gorgeous fabric too!! What a pretty way to display and sell fabric, huh? Thank you, Lyn! The fabric is on the top of my old antique dresser.
Well...many people are selecting words to live by for the New Year. I selected some rocks!! I really love rocks and rock-hounding, and found these two...and together? They make an exclamation point!! so...I have a SYMBOL for the new year!! I want to live each day with fun, and enthusiasm, and excitement, and as much energy as I can pour into life...so I love my symbol, and have it in the bathroom, on the counter top, so I can see it all the time. So....what is your word, or resolution, or symbol??
HAPPY NEW YEAR to all!!!

Wonderful symbol for the new year!
Happy New Year, Julie!
Heel veel GELUK in 2013 from The Netherlands!!
:o)
Happy New Year Julie!
Great corners - I have never been brave enough to go for a mystery quilt!
Your rocks rock ! Guess my word should be EXPLORE!
Whoop, Whoop for you!! Happy 2013
Love the idea of a symbol for 2013! Hope your year is full of exclamation points! ;-)
Happy New Year, Julie! Your stand and hanging are adorable. And I love how the fabric is displayed. :) Your rocks are perfect---and a perfect symbol too. We have lots of rocks in our house. My husband and I are both 'rock' collectors---Indian relics, rocks in general, so I was immediately drawn to your rocks. :) My word for the year is 'focus'---Lord knows I need a lot more of that than I have now. LOL
Happy new year! It's always good to be a part of life and not watch it go by. It's been a great year and it will be a challenge to beat it in 2013, but I plan on trying!!
Happy New Year, Julie. Your exclamation point is great and a wonderful reminder that life is precious and each day brings something exciting.
Here's your whoop whoop! I looked at Bonnie's reveal today and it is a gorgeous quilt! Your new quilt and holder are darling. I love minis! Have a fabulous exclamation point 2013 :)
May your 2013 be filled with health, happiness, friends and, of course, quilts!!! Love the exclamation point!
Love how your Easy Street is coming along! I think I like the pink better than the green! I was so excited to see the big reveal this morning at 3:00 am-ish. (Man, that gal gets up early!) I was up all night on call, but it was nice to get paid to sit at home and sew! Gave me a chance to fix some wonky blocks. Fixing to update my blog with my ES progress. Then I guess I'll have to go cook supper. No one is volunteering...sigh!
Happy New Year to my dearest friend!!!
It's fun seeing Bonnie's mystery quilts being put together. Your corners are looking good.
I like your choice of symbols for the New Year. I don't have any options for 2013. Mine has to be the phrase "stash busting." No purchases so far, so I'm doing fine. :)
I love the pink in your mystery quilt! Can't wait to see how it comes together! Happy New Year!
Love the mystery with the pink! Can't wait to see how it looks altogether!
My word for the month is STEP!
Love your symbol for the New Year Julie!!! It's perfect :*) And I love your colors for Easy Street too - yummy!!!
