Trying to wrap some things up...at last!

Well, I kicked myself in the fannie, got straight up from bed very early this morning, went to the machine and got those last rows put together! Yippee!! I put the inner border on too...the outer border is a pieced one, and has lots more work to go...so the hard part for me is done! Yippee!!

In the spirit of finishing up some projects...here are my crazy cats from last year. I got five blocks made, and used four of them in this wall hanging. This will be a hand quilting project for on the go...I have two of them ready for the next road trip.

And lastly, I have been sewing on the Snail's Trails...these are so much fun to make!! A huge thanks to Vicki of LA Quilter, I won a giveaway from her and am using some of the fabrics in this...and loving them!! She is a wonderful quilter, go check out her blog!

Natasha, you won the lavender fat quarters...please let me know your snail mail address!!!

Coonie update!! OUr raccoon stuck in the chimney successfully climbed up our rope ladder to safety...so hurrah for that, and hurrah for no more critters in the chimney! I think we are going to have to have a custom cover made...our cover was good, but not coon proof!!

My cold is trudging along...I am ready for it to be done with me!!

Have a great day, all!!

Julie

What a fantastic assortment of plaids! How big will this one be when it's finished?

Fantastic work as usual.

If only I had enough time to make all the quilts I see that I like! Some day (and hopefully soon) I will make an all-plaid quilt. Wish me luck!

Love that one with the cats...so very cute.

So you are not an owner of a raccoon - I am sure the furry baby would have enjoyed a friend to play with...yes, a new chimney cover is a next purchase type item.

Hi Julie, Glad the critter party is over. Love the snail trail quilt, it has given me an idea to use up scrap fabric. Take care and have fantastic week:) Jen.

Loving those Snail Trail blocks! They are looking so good in different colours!!
The plaid quilt top is wonderful, you always do such a great job with these large quilts!!
So glad to hear the little furry one is safely out of the chimney, maybe a little home for it too after the chimney cover is done!!! The owner of the next chimney might not be quite so gracious, I would hate to think of it being suffocated in smoke with no way of being able to save itself!!

All so lovely Julie, and as usual, so much progress! I get out of bed, make coffee then sit on the couch and read blogs - maybe this is why the sewing doesn't get done?

Lovely as always! I love the snail trails too. I have a new quilting book from Accuquilt. It has a different version of snail trail I want to make for my DD. I'll bring it to work and show you!

You win! I have four more blocks to finish, not to mention the sewing together. I can't wait to see your border. Maybe it will give me a few ideas. Truly a wonderful top with your signature look. Beautiful!

Love, love, love that jewel box top in the plaids - my absolute favourite pattern - am just in the process of appliqueing a floral border to one I've done in jewel coloured batiks on a mushroom, pinky beige background as a potential wedding present for my niece and her fiance - must get back to the needle and thread or it'll never get done :)

Wow, what an exciting life you lead! So glad your raccoon was able to climb out. My mother used to feed them out the back door of her house. They stated coming back with their babies. If there wasn't food they came right up to the glass sliding door, looked in and asked to be fed. We counted 12 one night.
Your quilt is fabulous!
