Nine patches rule!! And Happy Valentines!!

Hey everyone!! Here are all the nine patch/churn dash blocks...I have selected the sashing fabric, after a wonderful suggestion from Helen in the UK...I tried red first Annie...the red I had kind of took over the blocks...I love red, though! I did, however, want all your nine patch blocks, and a bunch I made too, to show up and shine!! I found this blue...it was from a backing fabric, very wide...leftover, and it seems to work!!
Then I found the Cheddar...is it too much? Pretty bright!! Are the blocks showcased enough?? I like it though...and have a scrappy border planned too.

I have a bunch of these blocks cut...I have to be careful, or I will have a ton of the same blocks, and will not have zig-zags!!

Have a wonderful day, each one of you...I hope you have some sewing time just for you. Happy Valentines to each of you!!

Julie

I am just loving what you are doing with your nine patch and churn dash blocks! The blue border looks to be a great choice! I think the Cheddar blocks work well. Especially if you are going to do a pieced border of some sort. :0) Happy Valentines Day!

I love it and do not think it is taking over the blocks at all. You have the perfect shade of blue!

I love this quilt and am tempted to make a mini sized version. I adore the sashing and the cheddar is just the right amount of zingy cheese...! Nicky

Hi Julie,
First of all, what a lovely, lovely plaid scrappy quilt you have as the first photo at the top of your page... Is there a pattern for this quilt? If so, where could I buy it? I have two HUGE bins of plaid fabric. My sister and I are making 5 scrappy plaid throws (twin size) for our 5 brothers this coming Xmas. We already have 4 tops done and I am working on the 5th. But we both have a gazillion plaid scraps to be used up...
Congratulations again, for such a doozy of a quilt!
Pat

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
