Just had to go to the quilt shop today....

HI Y'all!! Above is a snapshot of Rosie Posie Pudding Pie...the best poodle in the whole house!! She is gaining weight, folks...she is a little chow hound! She like to grab a quilt block in her mouth and run like lightning to the back of the house...'round and 'round we go!! She is such fun...

Anyway! I have made some more nine patch/churn dash blocks. I love them!! I really want to thank each of you who swapped nine patches with me...thank you so very much...I treasure these blocks. Each one is so different and fun!! Julie S, one of our mavelous swappers is considering doing this style of block too...it was her idea in the first place!! Would you like to join us??
TADA!!! I finished the dolly quilt!! I decided after making sashing, etc., to see what options I had to set the blocks, that I really loved Lori's setting the best! So...poor me...sniff...I just had to go to the quilt shop for some fabric, the blue, for the setting squares...I had such a great time!! I love our local quilt shop...the ladies are so sweet there, and talk about heavenly reproductions!! They have a whole room for Jo Morton!!

Also...a word about comments. I just love to hear from you! I will answer back...but if I am delayed, it is because I am at work for several days...13-14 hour days, so I will always answer back on my day off!! I am so thankful for each of you...you are very special to me.

Love the idea about the 9 patch for center of churn dash...a friend gave me a box of Christmas themed fabric scraps...am cutting them up for a 9 patch...wondered what I was going to do then...you solved the question.

Looks like we are in for up to 12 inches of snow...hope weatherman is wrong...need the moisture though.

Oh, the churn dash 9 patches are delightful, I LOVE them. Churn dash is one of my fav blocks. And your dolly quilt looks wonderful with the blue. Sniff, sniff, I didn't do this one, but I sure like it!

I just love how your smaller nine patch blocks are coming along. I've still got my 6" blocks sitting and waiting for something inspirational. After seeing your smaller blocks I wished I would have done that one! LOL
Your little mini quilt...perfection!

Great job on the doll quilt! I love how you tried to convince us that you "had to" go to the quilt store!

Obviously, Rosie likes the Churn Dash blocks as much as all of your readers. ;oD

The nine-patches in the center give the blocks more depth. I love the concept.

I love the churn dash surround--great frame for these 9 patches! Makes me want to get back to my two nine-patch projects ASAP!

Glad Rosie is providing entertainment :)

Oh, quilt shops are just the best. I'm going next weekend to one of my faves for their big sale, 30% off everything. Have fun!

I love nine patches and churn dashes as well so having combined the two...a marriage made in heaven.

Great idea, Julie. Once things settle down here my nine patches from our swap are first on my list of things to do. Thanks for the great idea.

And your doll quilt? Superb!

I like the churn dash nine patch block a lot! I did a nine patch swap with some gals a while back and have never done the blocks up ... we did scrappy swap.. so the churn dash would just be great to add yet more fabrics ...did you find that pattern online by chance?

I can't think now of the exact size of my blocks, but they are close in size to yours I think..

I love what you did with your nine patch! You're so creative!

What a sweet Doll quilt! They are so much fun to make. Some are challenging only because you work with small pieces. Thanks for sharing! Cheers!

I like your nine-patch center churn dash blocks---I just finished a churn dash, but the center was plain. Rosie looks soft and cuddly, like my Buster mini poodle---he loves to sit with me in the recliner---we both keep warm that way in this terrible cold weather we are having!!! Dolly quilt is neat, too!

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
