This is the sum total of my day!! Above is the first step completed of Bonnie Hunter's Quiltville mystery, "Cotton Boll". I had a ton of pink strips cut for another project, which I can't remember what in the world I had in mind...and they worked perfectly in this project. I found myself picking out the loudest, brightest fuchsia pinks...that color is one of my favorites. Please tell me if you are doing this mystery too!!

I went to two grocery stores getting the Thanksgiving day meal groceries together...free turkey from one! I liked that part....cleaned all afternoon, made a meal, and now I work from now until Turkey day, almost...and Turkey day too! so the day after Thanksgiving will be my day to cook for my family. We can be (and are) thankful any day!!!

The last post....I have been working non stop, so I just pulled the winner...drum roll please! Kami, will you please send me your snail mail address? Thank you...and I hope you like your goodies!!

OK, off to put dishes in the dishwasher.....and laundry in the dryer!!!

Have a super great day!

Julie

Can't wait to see how your cotton boll turns out. I want to make it, but think I need to wait a bit until I"m a bit more organized!

I have good intentions to do Bonnies mystery. This first step looks easy enough. I hope to get started tomorrow.

Yes I am doing the mystery but need to get my main sewing machine back from the shop where it's having a minor repair. I have all my colours chosen and everything -just patiently ( not ! ) waiting xxx

Good job! I'm doing the mystery too, but we're out of town this weekend, so I'll have to wait to make my step 1 units for a day or two.

I love your pinks! I have not started yet because I can't decide between blues or lime greens with my pinks. I will wait for the next clue to decide. This is sooo much fun!

Thanks for commenting on my blog.
YES, I can hardly wait for pt.#2. I have made one of Bonnie Hunter's quilts but I've never participated in the quilt-along. This is really fun. I hope the next step isn't 312 star blocks or something!!!

Love your bright pinks. Seeing the colors everyone has chosen is the biggest part of the fun on a mystery. The quilts all end up looking so different as a result.

Ooooo... those bright pinks combined with that green look like bubblegum and pistachios. I'm not doing the mystery. I've got enough to do trying to finish my measly 2 UFOs for Finn's challenge. I have more UFOs but I only committed to 2, thank goodness.

Hi Julie, I have to work THG day too, both Wed and Thursday but luckily I am invited to dinner and only have to bring two things, creamed corn and sweet potatoes. Since I don't work until 11pm both nights, I will still be able to enjoy both sleeping and dinner! Love your pink squares. Can't wait to see the finished product! Steph

That pink is wonderful! I've only gone as far as pulling my strips from the bins...wondering how to do blue and white quilt simultaneously with the mystery quilt....

I just got back from a retreat, and a friend asked me if I was going to start Bonnie's mystery. When she said it was greens and pinks I decided to give it a try. I have some things to do before Thanksgiving, but I'm going to pull fabrics and start when I get a chance. I love your pinks and greens.

My pinks seem to be much like yours. I've got my strips sew and cut today. I'm looking forward to the next step.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Lots of things going on!

Good morning, or evening to you!!!  I have been sewing pouches of different sizes, and I enjoy filling them with different things and giftin...
