Putting it all together...

Guess what? I got an early Mother's day gift! Our son and his wife came for a visit...they have been married a year already. They brought the most beautiful roses! I just love them...I mean the kids, and the roses too.
Did you know? In Texas...we have weenie dog races! Isn't that just a hoot? I never knew...but weekend before last, we witnessed the fun up close and personal. My grand-dog ran in the race! Not a winner, but great fun for everyone there. Over 1000 dogs ran...wow! It was just hilarious to see so many little dachshunds running around...are you listening, Judy and Vicki?
Hey, now...isn't this race interference??
What a darling little picture! Going for it!!
Of course, there was a booth for the lovers among us.
So, after two hours today again on this puzzle, here is where I am. My piecing is much better now, I have to say, than 13 years ago (one would hope, right?) Anyway, the old blocks have some cut off points and some little waves...just friendly little waves, though. It is great fun to put together!!

Have a super day, all!!! I am working, gulp, 7 days in a row, 12 hour shifts. So, if you don't hear from me, it is because I am nutty!!

Your UFO will be beautiful. Yes, the layout is not for beginners, but after your beautiful yellow one, this should be no problem for you. Keep your chin up with all that work!

Wow, look at all the weenies! I went to a race once as a spectator when Daisy was about a year old. (She was scared by all the barking!) We laughed so hard, as much at the handlers as at the dogs! Thanks for sharing those pictures! And your blocks are plumb gorgeous! What a find!

I'm sitting here busting up laughing at the race photos! Those are awesome! Years ago I owned a female dachsund....boy was she a piece of work! Love her but she ruled the roost and I knew know better...she finally went to live at her "boyfriends" home. :-) Stubborn little turkey!!

I am way behind on reading blogs,

First the weenie dog races what a hoot, didn't know they had those...

Your Snowflake runner is so pretty, really like that one snowflake you got a close up of... wouldn't that be pretty all over a quilt, just here...on red patchwork maybe?

I love the lavender quilt your neighbor gave you... that is so pretty! What a wonderful gift :O)...

Love the photos of the Dachshund races! We took our Rusty to the annual Hallo-weenie a couple of years ago. He absolutely loved being around the other Dachshunds. He is generally not real friendly to other dogs. Thanks for reminding me of our good time.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
