Happy Easter Weekend! I finished the above pillow from Kaaren's First Friday Freebies...just in time for Easter. I colored it a little...that was fun!
These are the small collection of tiny pillows I am doing...one for each season, perhaps? I love them a lot, thank you dear Kaaren! Please go visit her at www.thepaintedquilt.blogspot.com.
Are you doing the Jelly Roll Quilt Along? This is my progress so far...it is strange for me to actually use fabrics already cut and that someone says coordinates together, but I have to admit, it is so much fun!!
***************Doggie Update*********************************
I have not said a word to dear husband about the dog except for "Are you going to keep your doggie?" I wanted him to want her too... The stray dog from last post, I mean...well today, he said, "We might as well keep her, she came to us and sought us out!" So I took her to the vet and left most of my money, and then we are going to groomer in the morning to leave the rest. Hee! Just kidding, I am really excited about the new family member! I will show a picture when she is all groomed and you can actually see her sweet face.

So what is the name going to be for the latest member of the family? Do you have a yard where she can be safely kept while you all are gone...I guess she is house broken then.
Have a great Easter.
How wonderful, a new family member just in time for Easter! Bless those poor animals that seek us out!
Ah, the "found" pets are usually the best!!
Love you pillows!!
I like the way you colored the Easter design. And your pillows look very well made.
Please, oh please, do not let that sweet little dog get away. I promise you it will repay you 100 times over in love and companionship. I speak as someone who has been there. Michele
I, too, am curious as to what the name of this little doggie will be. It was her lucky day when she found your home!!! I am doing the jelly roll blocks......and they are fun. I get impatient waiting for the next one to be posted each time!! LOL How do you color those pillows????
I love your jelly roll blocks--that fabric is sooo pretty and you are doing a great job in putting them together!
AH a new family member---one that will delight you for a long time!!!
Have a great holiday week end
hugs,Di
Great stitcheries! I'm so glad you're keeping her!!!
Love your finished stitcheries! And welcome to the new member! Can't wait to see her/him!
Nothing like a companion to keep you company and to talk too while you quilt. Does she have a name? The pillows are lovely, they would look nice in my front hall on the wooden chair...hmmm! Have a wonderful Easter:) Take care.
Love your mini pillows, I too collect them for each season !
Happy Easter & hugs from France.
Enjoy the love that is coming your way by this lovely pet that sought you out to be his family..... ;))
Enjoy your quilting. It looks gorgeous! And happy Easter, with one family member more!!
Your husband is a hero. How exciting to have a new family member. Your pillows look wonderful, my favourite one is the snowman.
Yay! I'm so glad you are going to keep her! Glad for you and glad for her that she will have a loving home. I can't wait to see her after her "beauty parlor" visit!
Great job you did, your Easter pillow looks very nice, love how you colored it.
Happy Easter.
Your Easter pillow is delightful. You were so creative in the way you finished it.
What jelly roll are you using? Love the colors!
A pet=new way to spend money. Good thing you are thrifty :)
I'm so happy that you are keeping the puppy! What a wonderful Easter gift. I love your pillows too.
Ahh! I'm guessing it will be about a week before we see the new family member's very own quilt all ready for her to nap on. I've never tried a jelly roll. I can't get past the "how do you pre-shrink it?" dilemma.
Excellent decision! You are in for alot of love :-)
Love the pillow and your jelly roll blocks. Congrats on the new family member.
Happy Easter! How wonderful that you are adopting the doggy into your family - can't wait to meet her *s*
I know just what you mean, I call Chesty my little money pit but he's worth it!
I like the idea of jelly rolls better than I like using them. The quilts tend to be a little too coordinated for me but you can't beat how easy they are. Since getting the Go, I've been cutting 2.5 inch strips from my stash and setting them aside. The twisted nine patch blocks used some of those but I have more!
Thanks for showing your Jelly Roll Sampler blocks! I like seeing how they look in different fabric lines. A new family member, how wonderful!
