Mystery quilt

Do you recognize the above set-up? It is Bonnie of Quiltville's new mystery quilt! She has published it in Quiltmaker, and it will be in three parts. I have selected my fabrics and sewed my 4 patches...so I am making progress! Have you been wanting to get into the mystery? I happen to have two of these Quiltmaker magazines! I ordered one, and it never came, so I bought one, and of course the next day, the magazine came. So I have two. I would like to give one away to someone who has been wanting to participate in this mystery. Be thoughtful...have you been wanting to do this one? You will need to get the other two magazines for the other two parts of the mystery when the magazines come out...but this could give you a start!! If you want it...please tell me and I will send it to you. Be sure it is something you will use and not take away from the chance for someone else...but if this is you, it is yours! First come, first serve.

This is to honor Darcie of October's Child custom quilting. She collects heart rocks, and so do I! so I wanted to show you mine. Do you collect heart rocks too? I would love to see your collection!!
Have a wonderful day...tomorrow is a quilting day! Off from work!
**********************************Nursing News*************************************
We have the most precious old gentleman in our unit. He used to be a banker, and is quite sharp, except for the Alzheimer's moments creeping in now and then. There has not been a moment when I zipped past his room that he is not smiling ear to ear, and always has a pleasant comment for everyone. The comment may be a confused one that does not make sense! but the kind, sweet intent is there...he just makes me happy to see him.
Have a great day!
Julie

I plan on making that quilt too, but I haven't even picked out my fabrics yet, let alone start it. Bonnie will be coming to my guild for a visit in March and I would love to have it made so I could show it during the show and tell time at the meeting. Guess I had better find some time to make it and soon!

Those heart rocks are really interesting......I think we have a small one in the house that one of the kids found...but I'll be darned if I know where it is. If I come across it, I'll take a picture and show you!

Of course your patient is smiling. He's in your care...who wouldn't smile?! ;-)

LOVE your heart rocks!!! Thank you for sharing them. Very cool! Mine are much more...umm...well...one needs a good imagination in finding the heart-shape. Yours are so evident!

Every heart rock reminds me of you. ;-) Hugs.

I am still trying to resist the new mystery and having to search out 3 magazines makes it easier for me to not start another project!

I collect heart rocks, too! They are all over my house and yard. I try to find one everywhere I go and I usually find one. I've brought them home from Douglas, Alaska...where I grew up and return to help my parents several times a year and at different places in Oregon. I made my Sisters Quilt Shop group wait for me as I pawed through rocks by a sidewalk in the middle of the quilt show. I had to have one to bring home!

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
