DD is almost...done-done!

Great excitement...the middle of the Double Delight mystery quilt from Bonnie at Quiltville is complete! Whhhewww, those long seams, matching all those corners were wicked...but fun.
Here it is with the first border. The quilt feels much more completed (it told me so), and all those edges are now "sealed" in. Somehow more finished. I think a plain outside border will be great, I just don't have a big enough piece of fabric to do it that looks right. Oh, darn...I may have to go to the fabric store! Wellllll, someone has to do the hard jobs.

I have pieces left over! I am just playing with them...do you think a long pillow would be fun to display on the bed too? I will play and think about this!
Thank you for putting up with the many pictures of the DD in progress...it has been a labor of a long time, and very much enjoyed.
Gratitude's!
Life-sustaining rains
Precious family
Going out to dinner with DH tonight!
Early flowers blooming
A job! So many people do not have this right now...I am truly grateful.
Have a happy, quiltish day!

Sometimes I look at a quilt and imagine what it might say over the years about the quiltmaker. Sometimes I think a few quilts are truly meant to *outlast* us in the best sense & speak for us in the most fragrant, full-of-life ways.

What a beauty! This one is still on my 'to do' list. Your fabrics and colors are so pretty. Nice work.

How industrious you are, using the last few pieces! One time I had some pieces left over, and I put them in a bag, and took them to the dumpster. THE END! Felt guilty for a few days, but I didn't have THAT nagging at me. 8-))

Your DD is truly lovely -- good job. Mine is waiting for sandwiching. 8-)

Congrats on your DD, it looks great. I got mine back from the quilters today, and am so excited to get the binding on it and put it on the bed. It was fun, don't you agree.

It is absolutely STUNNING, Julie! I enjoyed watching your progress on this one. Good idea to use the leftovers the way you mentioned.

Very nice quilt. I've always wanted to do one of Bonnie's quilts but have always been busy doing other things. Yours turned out really nice.

It looks great! I didn't even attempt this one. I need to finish the many ones I have started.

NICE! I've said it before , but your color combination is my favorite! I hope you find the perfect piece of fabric for the outer border.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
