Hand quilting on the plane!

Greetings!!  I have been on a journey!  I got to go visit my grand babies, and had a lovely time.

I wanted to have something to sew on the plane, so I bordered this block and hand stitched it on the plane.

Yahoo!  I have all of these blocks sewn together.  I love this!

Another finished place mat on the plane.  These will go to meals on wheels.

This piece was one I just loved...an older lady ( I mean in her high 90's)  was selling these, hand made on her Bernina...and I bit.  Pretty, don't you think?

Hope each of you has a great day!!

It is funny, you say “an old lady” and I thought , oh my I guess I am one. Though I don’t feel like one. So I guess I have to rethink my phrasing these days. Have a wonderful day. Dotti in CT

You were so productive with your plane time. Kudos to you. The last two trips I've taken have just been reading time on my Kindle. Pretty lazy of me. LOL
So glad you got to visit your grandbabies!! Hope you had a lovely time.
I can see why you bit on that purchase--just lovely!
Had to laugh about the "old lady" thing. In the Amsterdam airport last week I saw a T-shirt I wanted (but it wasn't for sale. Someone was wearing it). It read, "It feels so weird to be the same age as old people!"
Amen to that!

Good to know you had a break and got to see the family! I took handwork on my trip and stitched for the duration of an inflight movie. (One Life about Nicholas Winton who helped children escape the Holocaust.)
