An oldie...

Good morning!  I have, at long last, put this quilt together.  Yahoo! I have had the blocks made for a long time.  I have a patient in mind for this one; she loves purple.  In fact, she wears only purple pajamas, refuses our drab hospital gowns, has her hair dyed purple, has purple nails and a purple handbag and hat!  Every single article of clothing she has is purple, and her car?  IS PURPLE!

So, this is for her.  She comes in over and over again to our unit and has done that for years.  I will surprise her, next time!

I finished the applique on this block.  I am in love with it...it is even and perfect?  Why no!  Why would you ask?  Hahaha!

Perfection is overrated...joy is not!

Have a lovely day!

I’m not a fan of purple (too many years working in a school drenched in purple) but I love the quilt! The recipient will adore it.

Oh Julie. Your quilt is so beautiful and will be loved so much by the recipient. I think I would enjoy meeting her. I adore all the "little ole ladies" that dye their hair different colors. They are usually a lot of fun to be around. Although I am elderly, I don't have the nerve to try that yet. Besides, my husband would kill me. LOL
The applique block looks awesome to me. You are doing a great job.

Oldies are always fun to dig out and finish. Such a great sense of accomplishment. This one is gorgeous!

Another finish always feels good! It's funny how people feel about purple. I like it well enough but it's an accent color not a dominant color for me. The lady you talk about will love it. Thank you so much for the sweet little yellow packet/purse that you sent. It is just so bright and fresh like a lemon would be. The red fabric was a special bonus. I immediately used some of the FQs to make 8 stuffed hearts for the children I teach at church. They were delighted. Thank you so much.

The applique is lovely and I love the quilt as well! I did have to laugh over the purple though--I don't wear it exclusively but I do love purple and in fact my studio is Iris purple w/white woodwork.

She’ll be overjoyed with the quilt! It’s just delightful! I’m very impressed with your Applique. I love Applique, but am not patient enough to do it. I get lost in the preparations.

I have been looking at this pattern for ages and have been saving what I find. It might be on the list for this year's RSC projuct.

I am a purple lover as well, although I've yet to dye my hair purple or any other color. I have the blocks made for that pinwheel quilt, too, and it's past time I put them together. Have a great day.
