I have also been working on my "Spider and the Fly" quilt top. Above are some of the blocks...
And here is my progress so far!!! This is great fun!!!
I have had some dryer troubles. I cannot believe I had trouble with it...it is only 30 + years old! LOL!
It is a Maytag, after all. Maybe it will last forever!
Oh yes...well, I stepped on a needle. No harm done, but I am grateful it was me and not my dear hubby or dear poodle dog. Must be more careful...
I am all caught up on medical testing, delayed for years due to covid and my own denial of any mortality, LOL! I have some things I can improve, and others came out just wonderfully!
I hope each of you is having a lovely day!
Julie

Loved seeing your projects Julie I would be lost without my clothes dryer
Your quilts are always so amazing! :0)
We have a VERY OLD dryer too--probably the same vintage as yours (gulp); altho' the top is all rusted out --ugly for sure--but it still works--so far.haha
Lovely projects...hugs, Julierose p.S. I still have to get my log cabin bound...
Don’t ever get rid of that Maytag, Julie. Love your quilts!
Hopefully, we're all like the Maytag, just a few new parts or changes and we're good to go. Great quilts, as always.
The new projects look terrific! Glad stitching time is still making you happy.
Being or having a Handyperson is a great money saver. My hubby and I fix things or assemble/install when we can.
Got my physical, mammogram and flu shot…
Beautiful projects, especially that top applique one! I was thrilled to take on an old washer and dryer when we moved into our home 9 yrs. ago. My hubby wanted to buy new ones and I said, not a chance. The older the better.
Focus on the positive "and others came out just wonderfully"; SUCH good news! I love your show and tell today, The Spider and the Fly is so bright and vibrant and your applique quilt that's ready for hand quilting is simply glorious! Bravo!! Glad that your puncture wound wasn't worse; ah, the hazards of the sewing room!
Love how the Spider and the Fly is coming!!!
and your poor dryer - I think that is a sign that you should not do housework anymore and just quilt.... right?? haha
Glad all your tests came out good!
Beautiful quilty art :-) Yes, take care of that dryer! The new washers and dryers aren't meant to last more than a few years. So glad you could get yours fixed.
And yay! for catching up on health appointments. I'm almost getting through my list. Actually found my primary to be quite kind and helpful. Wahoo! The last guy wasn't too bright.
Have a great week!
My Name is Elena I want to testify of the good work of Lord Zuma who helped me in achieving the goals, i was in a relationship for 4years with my boyfriend and everything was going so sweet i loved him and i believed he loved me more than anything in this world after a while i noticed some changes in him so i knew something was wrong i tried to pleases him in several ways but no outcome, shortly i noticed he was seeing another girl i tried to make him understand that i loved him so much but he wouldn't even listen, one day i read a testimony on a similar case a person testifying of the work of this great Lord Zuma even when i did not believe i was convinced by my girlfriend so i contacted him and let him know all my problems and he said i should not worry that everything will be okay for me, in 2days my lover came asking me to forgive him after giving Lord Zuma the information and the necessary things to carry out the work for me, so if you are going through any problem contact him he might be the answer to your problem, here is his email address. spiritualherbalisthealing@gmail.com or WhatsApp him +1 506 800 1647.
Spider and the Fly is going to be such a cool quilt. It's funny about the dryer. I got outside portable drying lines this summer and have been hanging at least half of my laundry now. I really like doing it that way. The air in the house is so dry in the winter that I'm going to keep it up as long as I have free use of the guest room bathroom....it has more floor space than my bath!
Your projects are just so beautiful! Good job!
Hubby kept repairing our washer and dryer and feel so thankful for his abilities. Several years ago we finally broke down and bought new ones. So grateful for them!
Glad you are well!
Ouch on the Needle, and I wish I had kept my 23 year old Maytags. The new ones tear up pillow cases and clothes. OH WELL.... Have a great week! Hugs
Hello everyone, my name is Walter George I am so overwhelmed with joy all thanks to Dr. Wale spell. My Wife left me for another man a few years back and I was very devastated because I never did anything wrong to her, I was left with my two kids and a job that pays little. I was almost giving up until I saw a testimony online about Dr. Wale and I decided to contact him. I explained my problem to him and he assured me I'll see a positive result after 24 hours, surprisingly my Wife came back the day after the spell begging me to forgive her and promised to never leave. My Wife has been back for 6 months now and we've never had any issues, am glad I didn't doubt Dr. Wale cause he sure can solve any problems with fast relief you can also contact him for help now WhatsApp/Text him: +1(978) 406-9575.
That is a fun applique quilt.
And I really like the look of your Spider and the Fly quilt.
We just got our first brand new washer/dryer pair after 43 years of marriage. We have had used units with many repairs over the years. I didn't think I needed a new pair, but I am kind of pleased with many of the new features available. But you hang on to your Maytag as long as you can. They don't make them like they used to!!
