Slow stitching on Sunday!

Happy Sunday to everyone!!!  I pulled this quilt top from the closet, wondering what had stopped the progress on it.  It was the hand work!
So I started blanket stitching those little petals down, and this is my slow stitching of the week.  I am linking to Kathy's blog, here.

I just love this quilt...I made it, but don't know what sew along it was...but I like it!!
I found a new sew along!  Just right for a baby quilt.  Here is my first puppy dog!  You can find all the patterns here:

Tomatoes are coming on like crazy!  I went out and picked a few, before the wildlife eat them!!!

We went to the DFW National Cemetery.  We do not know anyone buried there, but it was a poignant memorial of a soldier's service for country and their fellow man.  We honor our fallen this weekend.  Over 73,000 veteran's graves are located there.  Lots of people were there, and tons of flags were flying.  One grave had a blanket on it, with a young widow perched on top, talking to her lost soldier buried there.  Tears flowed.

Such a poignant story of the young widow talking to her lost, beloved soldier husband; so sad. The blanket stitching kissing the applique gives a lovely touch. I like 'that' quilt, too. Cute little puppy dog.

I love the look of blanket stitch appliqué. That’s a pretty quilt top. Cute cute cute puppy dog block!! I’m sure you will never forget the image of the young widow on the blanket. So many have sacrificed for our freedoms. 🇺🇸

My husband is buried there. He’s buried directly across from the mausoleums. Not a fallen soldier. It’s very sobering to visit there.

May we never forget the sacrifice that our freedom requires of not only the military but their families as well.

I really like the blanket stitch detail on that very pretty quilt. You always have so many projects in the works. I am impressed with how much you accomplish in your off hours.
Your experience at the cemetery sounds very poignant. Don't know that I could have held back the tears at such a sight, either.

How sweet of you to go to the cemetery to honor those who gave their lives. I’ll bet it was very poignant.
Love looking at your projects. Very inspiring!

You're lucky to have tomatoes already. It will be a long time before our tomato plants are big enough to have tomatoes on them.

That is a gorgeous quilt to finish with some blanket stitched petals!
Hope it's going well there... I'm behind on my blog reading!

I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
