Nearing a finish...

Just one more border, and it is a flimsy!!  I am putting a tiny outer border, to kind of protect the pieced one.  I have seen lots of antique quilts that are pulled out of shape on the border, so I think this is a good idea...and Karen's quilt had one too...so I am adding it!!
Scrappy happy!!  The border is my favorite part!!
This was hard to get a picture of...but you get the idea.

Onward!!!  to bed!!

Have a super day,

Julie

WHOA!! Now THAT's BEAUTIFUL!!! When I get to the border, I usually just slap on a plain jane solid as I'm tired of it and ready for it to be done at that point. WTG!!

Wow! You really let yourself have some fun with the border. Awesome geese border! You are so dedicated to your quilts. I love the border around the stars too. Did you used 1.5" stripes for that one? I have to use that style on one of my quilts ... at least once. Congrats on getting it this far. There's a lot of work in there. ;^)

Fantastic job! I also think a plain border will protect the edge.

I love it! Those flying geese blocks are wonderful. And I just splurged on a loc bloc ruler for squaring flying geese blocks so I hope to add some geese to something soon too. Your quilt is beautiful! That outer border will be a good idea.

What a wonderful mix of plaids and prints. And that border is a beautiful addition. I think having an outer border is a good stabilizing idea.
Julie, I believe you are ALWAYS nearing a finish on something. You are so productive!! :)

Lovely work.

Puffins and purples!!

I was tempted by Puffins...a squirrelly breed!!  LOL!  This fabric was shared with me, and I have been loved these bright, candy corn colors...
