I am binding this quilt!! Are you binding something this month??
I am playing with 1/2 square triangles, a gift from Karen at the Log Cabin Quilter. See her blog HERE. The heart will not be there, just playing here!!

The new Patient advocate role is going OK. Basically, I am looking for trouble and trying to fix the troubles. Which I love to do...but it wears on me, when there is lots of trouble and no fixing it for some people!! 99% of everyone is so appreciative and happy with our care...and 1% take most of the time and are not ever satisfied. Some days are just blissful, though, running around helping the nurses, helping the patients with whatever they need, just busy, busy, busy! I am sure hoping our patient satisfaction is much better...which is hard to fix, because we were in the 90% range to start with! So it goes...
The man with the stroke...went home with home health care, all fixed up. A WIN!!
Lots of very sick people at the hospital right now, so I am praying for healing for every single one of them!!

I feel so badly when I cannot reply to comments left from you all. Please know I appreciate and read and enjoy every comment, but some people are "no reply", so I can't e-mail you back. So Thank you!! Megan, Mary Jo...I will start to list people at the end of the blog, so you know I loved your comments.
Have a great day, all!!

Your Applique quilt is the perfect piece to spend the time hand quilting. It's a timeless piece.
Julie, I was moved to tears by your previous post about the gentleman who went home so well cared for by you and the staff. Your work is so precious. As for the quilts, well I love the little square of HST's, so quaint and pretty! But you know that I am always swayed by a Civil War print, LOL!
Love that hand quilting especially on that particular quilt! It looks like it was made for that.:)
Lovely applique quilt. I really need to get back to hand quilting.
The applique quilt is so pretty. The quilting is giving it even more life.
I don't know why only one of your pics loaded, but it sure was pretty! I'll bet you are the best patient advocate ever! I am binding placemats for Meals on Wheels that I made from all of my practice FMQing during the summer months.
Beautiful work, such pretty applique. Glad the man now has some help. So does binding a customer quilt count??? :-)
Julie - thanks for your note in today's post. I really enjoy reading your blog and seeing photographs of what you're working on. I don't have a blog myself, which is why you aren't able to reply to me. Although I enjoy quiltmaking very much and have been doing it for almost 25 years, I only make two or three quilts most years, so I'd have very little to showcase on a blog!

I'm stitching a binding on even now 😎
Your applique quilt will be such a beautiful treasure!
Always fun to create with HSTs. Karen is such a generous quilter.
Such pretty RSC blocks.
Troubleshooting can wear you down when you are a really caring person. I'm glad MOST of the patients are appreciative!
I love hand quilting. It is so relaxing
Beautiful hand quilting! what a lovely quilt.
So many gorgeous projects going on at Julie's! Love the hand quilting project. I usually find that the more you stitch something, the more attached you become to it!
So glad you are enjoying your new and very challenging role.
Wow! Such beautiful projects. Your appliqued quilt is stunning...love the fact that you are quilting it by hand. Gorgeous!
Your quilt is so beautiful! I'm glad your patients have an advocate that actually cares!
I am not surprised that you are loving your applique project! It's going to be very nice indeed!
I have seen some of those old quilts too, and I think that quilting down the appliques is very wise. Looking good!
Beautiful! You will love when all of the quilting is done! You are pretty amazing, you know? Have an awesome day!
You've got some awesome projects going! The hand quilting is really looking fantastic!
Dear Lori,
beautiful projects, like the applique quilt a lot.
Greetings,
Sylvia
Beautiful hand quilting on such a beautiful quilt! Love your rainbow blocks too! Your patients are so very blessed to have you as their advocate!!
Your applique is beautiful and I have fallen in love with your sweet flowers! Yes, I am binding something this month...a minature Valentine heart wall hanging for my wife.....just finished it a few minutes ago. As for the 1%....there will always be someone who finds something to pick at. Keep focussing on the 99%...they are what counts!
