quilt along part three, with Barrister's Block and Humble Quilts!

Here is my version of Randy and Lori's quilt along.  I had these four inch blocks on the outermost border sitting around, practically begging to be in this quilt, so I put them in there!!  I love the original border too, but the practical gal who uses everything up won out this time.  The stars are four inches, finished.  I can't wait for the finale!!
Some things are growing in the garden...a lily.  So fragrant and so pretty!!  These are so easy to grow.
A gift from last year at Mother's day.  I put the plant in the ground, and it came back wonderfully!!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!

Julie

I think those stars look like they were meant to be there, Julie. The whole things looks wonderful!
I recently did something similar on a SAL--replaced the last few blocks with ones from my orphan pile. It works! : )

Your quilt is beautiful and beautiful flowers.
We finally got some plants yesterday, but a rainy day, so tomorrow I can start gardening again.

The stars are perfect. I'm glad you decided to make the quilt your own!

Well, aren't you creative in your substitution of the stars and putting use to something already made up. Works very well.

Julie, the stars are fabulous. I was trying to pick something that wouldn't take much work. If it had just been for me, I'd probably have opted for stars, as you did. I love that you improvised and used leftover blocks!!

Great version of this QAL! Your colors are wonderful and I love how you used up what you had 'laying around'!

Love your switchup! It looks just great with the star blocks.

I love daylilies and have many, many in my yard. Since I have a yellow thumb, I must plant things that have to be deliberately killed in order to get rid of them....I think they call those weeds, right?
