Good afternoon...weird to be posting twice in one day! I have made this much progress on Easy Street...all the corner and side pieces are done, and five of the blocks. Only twenty more blocks to go, and I will be putting this one together!!
But....I get side tracked!! I have tiny pieces, crumbs of cloth really...and I am making scrappy geese with these pieces. Bonnie is making string geese, but these pieces are really too small to be strings, so I am making geese of a different color, so to speak!! With the string borders, each block is nine inches finished.
And the plaids always, always call to me...I have been hoarding every plaid string I can find...and it is time to use them!! So this quilt is coming into being too. Doesn't look like much now, but just wait!! Those plaids will sing when they are done!!!
So...what fabrics are you hoarding?! I challenge to use your favorites!! What are we waiting for??
Have a super great day, all!!
Julie

Yes, I , too, have a "hoard" - definitely more than one ! LOL
I love your string geese! I will have to keep that idea in mind. Hoard fabric? Not me, no, not me at all! lol!
Oh yes, we all hoard don't we? I've been making myself cut into some of mine - it's fun! Your Easy Street colors are great - looking forward to seeing it all together :*)
are you sewing the strings to a muslin base and then making the geese? this idea would definitely work with a project I'm working on. got lots of strings and bits.
Your Easy Street looks great! I like the plaids, too.
Goose crumbs are looking good! That's so neat! It gives such inspiration!
Finishing up my Island Chain for Amy. The main part of the quilt is done, and I'm working on the borders. When it's done, I'll be freemotion quilting for a long time. Have 5 tops I am determined to quilt! (Still trying to hit the lotto! When I do, that longarm quilter will be ours! LOL!)
You are amazing, using up the littlest bits in the geese and strings. They look great!
Loving all that you are doing. Yes I am hoarding fabric, I am waiting for the time to create!
Do you need some plaid string infusions? I would be happy to send you some!
Love our 'crumby' flying geese. The do look good. And lovely to see the plain strings. Be still my heart. Love your plaids...
Julie, I love the colors you choose for Easy Street! I'd never have thought of that combination. Good Job!! I hoard all types of fabric. I haven't met a fabric that I don't like!
