September!

I had intended just to straighten up the plaids strings...and then decided to piece a little quilt, just for fun. I tried plaid borders, and did not like it, so I tried this...not sure yet! I like the design that is made by the plaids, they look like they are under the cream fabric.
Aren't these gorgeous? All the way from the Netherlands!!! These gorgeous nine patch swap blocks were made by Erika...thank you so much, and please y'all, go see her blog at www.quiltsnstuff.blogspot.com.
These are all the cream/taupe type strings I had...I got 35 blocks out of it, and someday...will put them together.

Back to work again for me soon...I am precepting a new nurse right now, and the one thing I try to emphasize is the human aspect...I think a nurse can be technically excellent, but if they have all the knowledge and skills and are just cold and uninvolved...they are not as effective. It is hard to teach love though, isn't it...but I try anyway!!

Have a great day,

Julie

Oh I love that little quilt! I thought right away that it looked like a window and I was looking through it to see the plaid fabrics. Here I thought you planned it that way! ;0)

What a cute plaid quilt...Love it! Those are BEAUTIFUL nine patches! Oh how I wish you had been DH's nurse last year when he was in the hospital for his knee replacement...they took good care of him but it was strictly business...very cold feeling.

Adorable little plaid quilt. It makes me want to pull out my UFO plaid project started last year. Stop tempting me, Julie. I've really got to quit jumping around and finish my current project first.

I like the little plaid quilt. You are right, it looks like a window on a plaid sky :)

I'm heading downstairs right now to finish all my cutting portion of the 9 patches. What beauties we'll all get to drool over!

Love the little plaid. I may have to try that. (You're such a slave driver!) We need more nurses that really care- glad you are passing that along.
