Time goes marching on...

And some progress is made! I have now made a total of 20 scribble-scrap blocks, above. I like the secondary pattern being formed. It has been such fun to play in the scraps strings! A glorious mess!
This is for an un-named person, who will be receiving this pink quilt soon. Hope the person likes it as much as I loved putting it together. This is every pink fabric that I own, at least one strip from each one. I will let you know who it is very soon!!
WORK: I am not there, but will be for the next few days. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing! I would love to go to the quilt show in Houston. Anyone else going?
House: All clean! Still some cluttery areas, but I think that is inevitable. But substantial progress was made this past few days.
Economy: I sure hope it rebounds all the way to where it was! The election is only 3 weeks away, so we shall see what impact this will have on it.
Health and exercise: My dear husband and myself rode 21 miles on our bikes! Fun, and a lovely day to do it. After we fell off the bikes, we tottered home...and my hips are pretty dang touchy sore! But I know it was good for us...My weight is the same, and will be until I make up my mind to stop the carb festival...
Grins!!
Julie

I love those scrap blocks! That's going to be one happy quilt. The pink one is very pretty too (although pink isn't my color at all.) You have been very productive! I don't think the economy will get back to where it was for several years and I don't think the next president, no matter which one, will be able to do a darned thing about it. I think it just has to mostly work itself out and it's not going to be pretty. Good thing we all have these great fabric stashes to get us through!

Have fun on your trip...eat something exciting each day. The quilts look great - special looks from both of them.

The blocks are looking terrific and it is really fun to play! Sometimes it helps ease stress. I love the pink quilt.. pink is such a great color and the pattern is wonderful. I am sorry to hear that you are sore from your ride. As they say, this too shall pass, but the exercise is so worth it in the end! Your health is number 1 priority!!

Awesome quilts! I love a block that makes a completely different pattern in a quilt. You have to look pretty hard to see the original block in the pink quilt. It is GORGEOUS!!!!!!

Those are both beautiful quilts. That pink one just screams girly and my granddaughter would just love a quilt like that. Maybe I should follow your example.

Both of your quilt tops are gorgeous! The strip quilt is bright and happy, and it makes me smile!
I am NOT going to Houston, darn it, but I have promised myself I will go someday. It sounds like such amazing fun, doesn't it?
Good for you and your DH for the long bike ride! I don't own a bike right now, so I guess the stationery bike will have to do! Not quite the same thing, though.
Ooh, carbs - my favorite! LOL!
