HI Y'all! Remember the plaid quilt I was last working on before the Mystery Madness started in on me? I did not forget you, dear plaids...here is where I am at. I loved working on this quilt...I strayed pretty far from the original pattern, of which I only had a picture anyway. Since the sashing is an odd size, the pieced borders top and bottom did not fit...so I put in a tiny spacer on the ends. I like it!
Do you see the red 1/2 square triangle, one in each corner? There are my husband's pajamas again! I have used that fabric in several projects so far. Hee!! Gotta use what you have, right?
Have a wonderful day, everyone!!
Julie

Julie! Huge congrats on this beauty!!! I admire you for straying far away from the original pattern and for applying that tiny spacer. That's what a (skilled, fearless) Quilter does. You are so talented. Gosh, I'm utterly in love with this quilt, the colors, the charm and its overall cozy feel.
You have an absolutely wonderful day as well. Big Huge Celebratory hugs for this magnificent finish!!!
Gorgeous! And so much more successful than the plaid quilt I once attempted. What a wonky mess that was. I tried again though, with much happier results.
Oh, I love it!!! Now I'm going to have to haul my plaids out and make one for myself. VBG Great work!
You should be proud of this quilt. It is beautiful. Nice Job.
That is a make do quilt. Adding the spacers makes it like an antique quilt or prim style. The pajama pieces priceless!
That quilt is TERRIFIC!!! (I just sent you and email with the photo attached that I FORGOT to attach earlier today.)
Lookin good--but won;t your hubby get cold with out his PJ'S!!!!!
hugs, Di
It's so bright and lively! Wonderful finish.
That turned out very nice! I just love the plaids! So nice that it has hubby's pj's in it too! :)
Love how your Bonnie's mystery quilt is turning out. Love your fabrics for it too.

Like I once said, Plaid rock!! this quilt is just a beauty.
I am just in love with this quilt!
It's GORGEOUS...love that border!!
I love it! I also like that you aren't afraid to make it work. So many quilters have too many "rules".
I used a pair of my son's plaid boxer in a few quilts-love the red PJ's!
Great quilt! Love the little pinwheels in the corner squares.
I too love plaids and have a top that I pieced earlier this year waiting in the closet to be quilted!!
Love the little spacer... just love that...when you have to add something unexpected in a quilt... makes it interesting and fun..:O)
And the Quilt..it is just Wonderful!! :o)
It's gorgeous! Love the plaids.
Fabulous quilt! The plaids really make it special.
Oh, I like it!
Its beautiful! Great job! And those corners are going to give you a grin every time you see them. :-))
Looking great! The spacers don't notice at all, and even if you spot them, they're fine. Also pyjama fabric : I have some left over from DS about 15 years ago which is still being included!
A plaid well done! Just beautiful!

Hello Julie, I love what you have done with the plaids, sometimes you need to put a spacer in...hugs lyn
Looking good! Sometimes we've just gotta do what works! 8-)
Looks great! I need to break into my homespuns again too although I'm thinking about a string quilt. There's one in the book by Evelyn Sloppy that I love.
How exciting to have fabric from your husband PJ's. I love the plaids, I have some of the beige you have on the outside edge.
I really love the plaid quilt. I will have to search my stash to see how many plaids I have. What a great use of fabrics.
Wonderful! A perfect quilt. I love plaids.
What a lovely quilt and so kind of your husband to give up his PJs to quilting.
